Chemistry is known as one of several subjects studying natural materials. Learning through experiments or practicum aims to find out natural from materials and the surrounding environment. This review aims to provide understanding to students which is then directed to increase the repertoire of active, fun, creative learning methods, and motivate students in the teaching and learning process. This review was compiled based on accredited national scientific publications that were collected to see data on student success in obtaining grades in chemistry subjects through the natural materials practicum method. Based on some literature shows that through this learning method, student scores have increased on average more than 50%. Based on this evidence, we can conclude that learning by applying natural materials-based practicum methods with the Project Based Learning model can improve skills, problem solving abilities, knowledge and work skills and improve student learning outcomes.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
