A Amazônia representa cerca de 30% de todas as florestas tropicais remanescentes do mundo e ocupa ametade do Brasil. Leguminosae se destacam na Amazônia brasileira e estão bem representadas em todas as fitofisionomias desta região, porém são poucos os estudos que caracterizam sua distribuição populacional. O objetivo desse trabalho foi averiguar o comportamento de uma população de Alexa canaracunensis em uma floresta estacional na Amazônia Setentrional, Estado de Roraima. Foram alocadas duas parcelas de 100 x 50m, (P1 e P2)com uma distância de 500 metros uma da outra, totalizando 1 ha de área amostral. Cada uma dessas foi dividida em 20 subparcelas de 25 x 10m. Foram medidos os Diâmetros à altura do peito (DAP ≥ 10 cm) e estimada a altura de todos os indivíduos desta espécie. Incluíram-se neste trabalho 26 indivíduos na parcela P1 e 47 na parcela P2, somando um total de 73 indivíduos. O Índice de Dispersão de Morisita (Id) e oÍndice de Payandeh (P) foram calculados para as duas parcelas e ambos apresentaram resultados semelhantes indicando um padrão de distribuição regular ou (uniforme) para a população. A espécie apresentou um formato de “J-invertido” indicando que esta encontra-se bem adaptada ao ambiente.
