A implantação do Programa Saúde da Família (PSF) implica em mudanças conceituais na prática assistencial. Este trabalho tem por objetivo desenvolver uma reflexão sobre esta situação. Por meio de consulta à bibliografia faz-se um breve relato das idéias relativas a atenção à saúde ao longo do tempo até culminarem no PSF. Também caracteriza o enfoque sistêmico, apresentando-o como um modelo teórico compatível com o PSF e examina como a atenção básica à saúde tem enfrentado mudanças de orientação em seu funcionamento. A conclusão que estabelece é que se as representações sociais dos grupos forem adequadamente trabalhadas convertem-se em um fator facilitador de mudança; caso contrário, tornam-se obstáculos.
As influências da filosofia judaica na obra de Spinoza têm sido recorrentemente pesquisadas, mas nenhum trabalho abordou especificamente o tema da morte. O objetivo deste artigo, portanto, é descrever as concepções de morte nos filósofos judeus lidos por Spinoza e compará-las com a noção de morte concebida por ele. O método utilizado foi a revisão bibliográfica das principais obras dos autores aqui considerados, como Maimônides, Gersonides, Hasdai Crescas, Ibn Ezra e Ibn Gabirol, seguida da comparação com Spinoza. Concluímos que Spinoza realizou uma análise crítica das ideias desses autores fundamentada na lógica de suas proposições e apresentou a noção de morte depurada de referências aristotélicas que ainda estavam presentes na filosofia judaica.
