While highlighting the significance of exposure to ads to explain consumer behavior, extant literature has so far disregarded the potential impact of dreams. Linking the current-concerns theory and the model of cognitive response to advertising, this study focuses on the impact of dreaming of ads on purchase intentions. To test the 3 research hypotheses proposed, a quantitative study was conducted with Iranian consumers, using individuals' retrospective self-assessment on the 3 variables of the study: exposure to ads, dreams of ads, and purchase intentions. Results were obtained using structural equation modeling analysis. The findings confirm that exposure to ads has a positive impact on purchase intention, comprising both direct and indirect effects through dreams of ads. In addition, it is shown that also dreaming about ads has a positive impact on purchase intentions. The article provides insights for researchers and practitioners interested in the effectiveness of advertising strategies and in the role of dreams for individuals.
Background: Accreditation is a team effort to improve service quality. Nurses, as key members of the care team, play an important role in implementing accreditation standards. This study aimed to explain the challenges and strengths of the implementation of fourth-generation accreditation from the perspective of nurses. Methods: The present study was a qualitative one conducted using content analysis. The research population included nurses of Afzalipour hospital in Kerman, Iran. Using purposive and snowball sampling, 5 nurses, 5 head nurses, and 3 supervisors were selected for accreditation. The data were collected through semi-structured interviews. The interviews were transcribed, coded, categorized, and analyzed separately. Then, using content analysis, the data obtained from the interviews were reduced and given a structure and system. Data analysis was performed using MAXQDA software (version 10). Results: The most important challenges in this study were increasing nurses’ workload and working pressure and weakening nurses’ relationship with the patient. Moreover, there was no adequate infrastructure to implement accreditation. The strengths of implementing accreditation standards included increasing nurses’ awareness, improving reporting and documentation, increasing patient safety, and improving organizational processes. Conclusion: The results of this study emphasized the need to implement accreditation standards to integrate working methods and improve the quality of services and patient safety. Solving the existing challenges is a way to ensure the quality and continuous improvement of nursing services. In general, the results of this study provide useful information to policy makers and senior managers of the health system to reform the structure of hospital accreditation.
Abstract-The purpose of the present research was to assess the influence of phonological and grammatical awareness on reading performance of EFL students at Azad Islamic University of Kerman. Based on such a purpose, a series of linguistic tasks were applied in order to find the relationship between phonological and grammatical awareness and reading performance. 50 EFL students participated in the present study through a qualitative and quantitative survey. Phonological awareness was measured by four tasks while grammatical awareness was measured by two tasks. A semi-structured interview was conducted among EFL students and their in order to obtain their feedback regarding the tests and the role of phonological and grammatical awareness in their reading performance. In addition, in order to measure reading performance, a two stage reading task (reading vocabulary and reading short sentences) was used. The results of the present study revealed that phonological and grammatical awareness had a significant role in reading performance of EFL students of the participants.
Background and Objectives: Accreditation is one of the tools to improve the quality of healthcare and conceptual elements in the management of the hospital. It is very important to pay attention to the standards and their characteristics because of their important role in showing the expected performance of the hospital. Therefore, this study was conducted to determine the relationship between standard features and accreditation in order to design an optimal model in public hospitals in Kerman province. Materials and Methods:The present descriptive study was performed on 86 people in public hospitals of Kerman province in 2021. The data collection tool was two researcher-made questionnaires for standard and validation characteristics. Descriptive statistics (frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation) and inferential statistics (onesample t-test, confirmatory factor analysis, and structural equations) were used to analyze the data. Results:Based on the results of the descriptive statistics, the mean of standard features and validation were 4.22±0.35 and 4.21±0.34, respectively. The results of critical ratio coefficient and t-statistic (R 2 =0.735, t=13.377) and structural equation modeling results (p<0.001, β= 0.735) showed that standard features had an additive (direct) effect on validation. Conclusions:The results showed that standard features have a direct effect on validation. In general, the characteristics set for the standards and the proposed accreditation model based on the standards are at a strong level. Therefore, the proposed model can take valuable steps in accreditation efficacy and improvement of services in hospitals. The results of this study provide useful information to policy makers and senior managers of the country's health system in order to improve the structure of hospital accreditation.
This paper aimed to critically look at team teaching tactics and the role it plays in achieving teaching and learning effectiveness. Specifically, using psychological counseling procedures, this study examined the benefits this learner-centered attitude brings to the student teachers and students, and also discussed different possible issues that may arise. To this purpose, a mix-methods design which comprised pretest, posttest, questionnaires, and interview was utilized to collect the necessary data. 52 Iranian high school EFL students were selected through purposive sampling and divided into a Control Group (CG) and an Experimental Group (EG). Also, two English language teachers, and a teacher as counselor were purposively selected to participate in team teaching procedure. The control group was taught through traditional methods of language teaching and the experimental group was taught through team teaching procedures. The posttest results showed that there were significant differences in favour of the experimental group between the two groups in terms of their oral proficiency. Also, the results obtained from the questionnaires revealed that that there were significant differences in the participants' outlook towards using team teaching methods in the language class. It was further found that there was a very strong evidence of partnership between team teaching plus counseling practice and inherent academic motivation as well as between team teaching and counseling procedure. The findings of the study are valuable for English language instructors, materials developers, program planners, and education administrators.
