Nimmt man eine grSssere Menge yon ChromoxydlOsung, so wird die Farbe nach dem Kochen purpurroth. Zur maassanalytischen Bestimmung des ]~isenoxyduls in salzsaurer LSsung mittelst iibermangansauren Kalis, N. Wi 1 ~e y T h o m a s *) theilt mit, dass man den st0renden Einfluss der Salzs~ure gleichfalls aufheben kann, wenn man die zu titrirende LOsung start mit schwefelsaurem Manganoxydul, wie dies zuerst F. K e s s 1 e r**) und neuerdings C 1 e m e n s Z i m m e r m a n n ***) vorgeschlagen haben, mit Chlorblei versetzt. Er verwendet eine w~sserige LOsung yon Chlorblei, die im Liter 50 g enthglt, und genagt ein Zusatz yon 10 cc dieser LOsung bei Gegenwart yon 30 cc Salzsgure yon 1,1398 SpGC. Gewicht. Ueber den Nachweis und die quantitative Bestimmung kleiner Mengen Silber im Bleiglanz auf nassem Wege macht J e a n K r u t w i g t) Mittheilungen. DiG Methode beruht auf folgender Reaction: Natronlauge gibt bekanntlieh in B1eisalzen einen im Uebersehuss yon Natronlauge 16sliehen Niederschlag yon Bleioxydhydrat; in Silbersalzen entsteht durch Natronlauge Gin graubrauner INiederschlag yon Silberoxyd. Fflgt man aber Natronlauge zu einer Misehung yon Bleiund Silbersalz, so scheidet sich ein prachtvoll gelber l~iederschlag aus, welcher in Wasser und Natronlauge nicht 15slieh, in Ammoniak dagegen sehr leicht 15slich ist. Der Niederschlag schwarzt sigh sehr Sehnell am Lichte; dureh Ausziehen mit heisser Kalilauge yon tiberschassigem Bleioxydhydrat befreit, auf einer porOsen Thonplatte und dann mehrere Woehen im Exsiccator getrocknet, entspricht er der Formel PbO, AgO-~-2HO. Er kann somit als Gin Salz betraehtet werden, in welchem das Bleioxydhydrat die Rolle einer Sgure spielt.
