Constitutional Protection has been given to marriages and families throughout the world, to give healthy milieu for nurturing and fostering positive attitude among children. Unfortunately, lack of patience, an absence of compromise, prevalent greed and other such reasons has increased matrimony challenges throughout the world and has shown a rise in divorce rates. The purpose of this paper is to find out consequences faced by children of disintegrated families in Pakistan and to suggest remedies to overcome these concerns among children. Conclusions are made on the basis of narrative literature review to highlight consequences and solutions. Increase in divorce rate is also getting common in Pakistan and has brought poor development in children’s growth, adding negative factors in children’s personalities. The results are worse if domestic violence and continuous conflicts amongst parents take place. Such children develop psychopathological disorders which continue throughout their lives. Matrimony challenges have influenced dropout rate throughout the world including Pakistan and have resulted in the decline in literacy rate in a new generation. Moreover, in the case of parental separation, kids have additional freedom to indulge in social networking sites, leading to the attainment of undesirable characters in their personalities, which later surges into acts of delinquency and crime. In order to overcome such weaknesses developed in children due to lack of parental attention, some remedial strategies such as adults’ supervision, counseling session, strong policies, financial assistance, government support etc are suggested in later part of this research.
Finland educational system is among the top systems in the world and Finnish students have proven themselves as intellects and responsible citizens in the past. In contrast, Pakistan is facing substantial education challenges and despite efforts been made, providing quality education to all children is still a dream. More than half of the adult population is not able to read and write, and there is huge inadequacy of skilled human resource that can impact the economy of the country. Malaysia, like other developed countries, has recognized importance of lifelong learning and is advancing it as a major source for economic growth. Competence, skills needed to ensure holistic growth of students is mentioned explicitly. Besides comprehensive curriculum development, Malaysia introduces such programs as to generate human capital by means of education and training. The creative learning environment and constant encouragement to students is provided to focus on latest skills that are need of the labour market. In Pakistan, it seems curriculum is properly documented with clear aims of what excellences to be fostered in individual but how to foster such excellence is missing.
ASEAN is widely praised for its establishing regional cooperation among countries of Southeast Asia and attracting countries from rest of the world too because of its core objective of bringing peace and stability in the region. Promotion of regional trade and investment followed by unprecedented economic growth is the major credit of ASEAN which is widely appreciated. Nevertheless, despite 50 years of its age, it hasn’t been fully successful in managing internal conflicts among its member states and conflicts with external states. Its ineffectiveness to manage conflicts have raised concerns over the relevance of ASEAN in 21st century where Asian continent is said to be playground for major powers because of shifting of epicenter of International Politics from America and Europe to Asia. ASEAN’s role is limited by its charter of Non-interference into the internal affairs of its member states. This article looks into the basic weaknesses in ASEAN as an organization thus providing recommendation to overcome its shortcomings and improve its performance. The article concludes that ASEAN, because of increasing demands of amendments in conflict management techniques due to changes in the nature of conflict, needs to transform from its modest goals and principles to deal with conflict to new trends of conflict management, perhaps from soft mediation to hard mediation in near future.
The Malaysian society, one of the successful and managed multi-ethnic societies, is replete of imbalances and there still underlie the racial and ethnic disproportions in geographical dwellings, educational and professional fields, and economic and political roles. The modern racial relation in Malaysia is the legacy of pre-colonial and colonial period of history dating back to fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. The unstable demographic balance, the unrestricted immigration policy or the policy of divide and rule by the colonial masters contributed besides other reasons toward the troubled relations between ethnic communities of Malaysia- Malays, Chinese, Indians, and others. But the way the respective Malaysian governments have managed such sour relationship in their socio-economic and political spheres is the lesson that all multiethnic states can learn from.
