Os odontomas são classificados como os tumores odontogênicos mais comuns. São considerados anomalias do desenvolvimento (hamartomas), originados do epitélio odontogênico e do mesênquima em quantidade variável e constituídos por vários tecidos dentários como esmalte, dentina, cemento e polpa. Podem ser subdivididos em compostos, quando apresentam múltiplas pequenas estruturas semelhantes a um dente, ou complexos, quando apresentam uma massa de esmalte e dentina que não lembram a morfologia de um dente. O presente trabalho relata um caso clínico em paciente do gênero feminino, com quarenta e um anos de idade, que procurou atendimento odontológico para exodontias. Na radiografia panorâmica observou-se a presença de tecido calcificado único, circundada por um halo radiolúcido, localizado entre as raízes dos dentes 32 e 33, com hipótese diagnóstica de odontoma do tipo complexo, tido como incomum por se mostrar em região anterior de mandíbula e de pouco volume. O planejamento para este caso foi remoção cirúrgica da lesão, obtendo-se sucesso no tratamento realizado.
Introdução: A reabsorção radicular interna, ou chamada de reabsorção intracanal, odontoblastoma, e granuloma interno, representa um processo patológico de rara ocorrência. Uma vez que a terapêutica da reabsorção interna e externa é diferente, é de suma importância a realização de um diagnóstico diferencial cuidadoso, o qual se baseia principalmente na interpretação radiográfica, sendo complementada pela história do paciente e pelo exame clínico. Discussão: Atualmente, a Tomografia Computadorizada de Feixe Cônico constitui uma ferramenta muito importante, pois atribui maior confiabilidade ao diagnóstico, classificação e planejamento do tratamento. Relato de Caso: O presente trabalho objetivo descrever um caso clínico de retratamento endodôntico acompanhado do reparo de uma reabsorção radicular interna com o uso do cimento reparador biocerâmico, que proporcionou o retorno funcional do dente envolvido, a fim de abordar os aspectos relevantes ao diagnóstico e tratamento.
