How do decide the manner of managing stock based on different situations of production systems? A theoretical proposal Due to the existence of a number of ways to manage inventory in the literature and the difficulty in relating them with the characteristics of productive systems in organizations, this article aims to collaborate with production/logistics managers as the decision on how to manage inventory in accordance with the manufacturing model employed by a production environment. For this, they are explained theoretically certain models of manufacturing, inventory control techniques and production factors present in such models. As a result, there will be a theoretical proposition, through a conceptual framework that relates the variables mentioned above, contributing to the understanding of the subject and fill a gap observed in the literature: a theoretical relationship about these variables.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
