Ternak sapi merupakan salah satu bentuk usaha yang banyak diminati oleh masyarakat Indonesia sebagai sumber penghasilan. Jika terdapat sapi yang terinfeksi suatu penyakit menular, maka sapi tersebut bisa sakit atau bahkan mati, sehingga sapi yang terinfeksi tidak bisa memberikan manfaatnya secara maksimal. Akibatnya, penghasilan peternak akan menurun atau bahkan merugi. Maka dari itu, asuransi bencana kematian pada ternak sapi menjadi salah satu cara preventif untuk mengalihkan risiko kerugian finansial yang ditanggung para peternak sapi. Ekspektasi besar kerugian ternak sapi ditentukan dengan memperhitungkan pengaruh fatal shock yaitu waktu kedatangan bencana penyakit Brucellosis pada sapi yang merupakan suatu proses Poisson. Diperlukan distribusi dari besar kerugian yang terjadi sebagai distribusi gabungan binomial dan degenerasi dengan variabel acak sisa masa hidup sapi dengan fatal shock. Kemudian dimodelkan dengan mencari distribusi dari kerugian yang ditanggung perusahaan asuransi sebagai suatu modifikasi polis asuransi dengan deductible, limit polis, dan koasuransi. Premi asuransi dihitung menggunakan Metode Premi Murni dari ekspektasi besar kerugian tersebut. Berdasarkan simulasi perhitungan menggunakan data populasi sapi di Kabupaten Bogor, tarif premi meningkat seiring meningkatnya limit polis, tingkat kedatangan penyakit, banyak sapi yang diasuransikan, dan usia sapi. Namun, tarif premi akan menurun jika deductible meningkat.
