A novel linearization technique for RF power amplifiers is presented in this paper. The proposed technique uses the modified baseband signal that modulates the fundamental carrier second harmonic. This additional signal processed for linearization is then injected, together with the fundamental useful signal, at the input of the amplifier transistor. Also, a prepared signal for linearization is inserted at the amplifier transistor output. In-phase and quadrature-phase components of the modified baseband signal are formed as the products of the second order nonlinearity of a nonlinear system fed by the useful baseband signal. The effects of the proposed linearization method are considered on a single stage power amplifier for quadrature amplitude modulated signals at different input power levels going up to 1dB below saturation region, as well as for WCDMA digitally modulated signal.
Adolescence is a developing period on the way of forming the final identity. The core of it is the physical identity, which is the starting point and whose expression is the mirror of its internal being. Tattoos, offered as a part of fashion trend, are accepted by a great number of young people, but on the other side, many people remain distant in relation to them. The aim of workResearch carried out for determining the specificities of the psycho-social profile of adolescents with tattoos.Materials and methodsResearch carried out on 80 adolescents of the age between 16 and 25 years, both sexes…A questionnaire with demographical data was used for the research, PIE (profile index of emotions Plucik), battery of the tests CON4.ResultsAdolescents with a greater number of tattoos (2 or more) manifest a higher aggression, low frustration tolerance and impulsiveness, social disinhibition and they are emotionally without social fears, unpleasantness and shame. Young people with one tattoo don’t have a different profile, but a need of satisfying fashion trends and solving their developing uncertainties and depressiveness.ConclusionYoung people with tattoos have a specific psycho-social profile, and a great number of tattoos is a screening for indicating behavioral disorders.
Introduction: Anorexia mentalis is a psychiatric disease followed by body deterioration.Goal: The selecting of medicament treatment and psychotherapy, following certain procedures which will lead the patient into the quickest psychosomatics functioning. Material and methods: During the period from January till December 2007, 15 female patients, age 14-19, were treated. Six of them were treated with Haloperidol, and 9 received Olanzapine treatment. The therapy consists of:A:A "two-way" therapy and "multi-level''therapy": food intake (high energy supplements and meals) and body mass growth curve, i.e. physical and psychical conditions are simultaneously monitored (horizontal level).B: Pharmacotherapy (neuroleptics and antidepressives)C: Psychotherapy (individual, family, behavioral, psychodynamic) (vertical level A, B)The treatment is pervasive and in stages, with individual corrections by the therapist according to specificity of each patient. Results: The following parameters were observed: body weight, BMI, hormonal status, regaining menstrual cycle, and psychical status, brain NMR scan, period of hospitalization. Female patients treated with Olanzapine gained 3-4 kg in one month, during that period psychopathology gradually faded: obsessive thoughts about weight loss, disturbed body image. Depressive emotionality lasts longer; therefore the antidepressives are included in therapy. Female patients treated with Haloperidol gained body weight slower, in a period of five months in average, and they also showed slower psychopathological restitution. Conclusion: Anorexia is very serious psychological disease that can be a death threat to a patients physical health, therefore, an early disease detection, timely reaction and treatment are essential.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
