INTRODUÇÃO: Aparelhos de estimulação elétrica, dentre eles a Corrente Russa (CR), vêm sendo cada vez mais utilizados por leigos e profissionais da saúde que objetivam aumentar a força e o volume muscular, porém são escassos e contraditórios os estudos relacionados a esse tipo de recurso na literatura atual. OBJETIVO: Avaliar se a estimulação elétrica com CR é capaz de gerar hipertrofia muscular no músculo reto abdominal. MATERIAIS E MÉTODOS: Vinte e uma voluntárias saudáveis foram submetidas a 30 sessões de estimulação elétrica com CR sobre o ventre superior do músculo reto abdominal (VSMRA). As participantes também foram submetidas a exames de ultrassonografia antes e imediatamente após a intervenção, com a finalidade de mensurar a espessura desse músculo. Para o tratamento estatístico dos dados, utilizou-se a estatística descritiva com mediana, média e desvio padrão, além do teste t pareado com um nível de significância de α = 0,05. RESULTADOS: Foram observados pequenos aumentos da espessura do músculo avaliado em algumas das voluntárias, entretanto, eles não resultaram em significância estatística. CONCLUSÃO: Ao término do estudo, verificou-se que a CR não associada a exercícios físicos regulares é incapaz de promover hipertrofia muscular após 30 sessões.
A vacina contra o HPV foi introduzida no Programa Nacional de Imunização (PNI) do Brasil em 2014. Apesar dos esforços do Ministério da Saúde para aumentar as coberturas vacinais, o número de adolescentes vacinados não é satisfatório. Esse estudo teve como objetivo sintetizar as evidências científicas sobre os motivos que levam os pais e responsáveis a recusarem vacinar as crianças e os adolescentes contra o HPV. A metodologia empregada se deu por meio de uma Revisão de Escopo. Para a construção das etapas metodológicas, foram respeitados os critérios da Joanna Briggs Institute e o PRISMA-SCR. Realizou-se a pesquisa em seis bases de dados eletrônicos, no Portal de Periódicos da CAPES. Os dados extraídos foram analisados e sintetizados na forma narrativa. Um total de 8535 registros, foi recuperado 23 estudos que foram mantidos para revisão. Das publicações, tiveram abordagem quantitativa (52,17%), qualitativa (43,48%) e mista (4,35%). Dos achados surgiram quatro categorias: segurança da vacina e medo dos eventos adversos; idade precoce e vacina contra doença sexualmente transmissível; influência cultural e religiosa; e desconhecimento e fake news. Este estudo permitiu investigar e aprofundar os conhecimentos acerca dos motivos que influenciam a tomada de decisão dos pais em relação à vacinação contra o HPV.
Introdução: No final do ano de 2019, um novo agente, denominado coronavírus (COVID-19), foi descoberto na cidade de Wuhan (China), ocasionando uma pandemia. Diante disso, houve um grande aumento dos atendimentos de Urgência e Emergência (UE) e, com isso, os profissionais de saúde começaram a lidar com diversos desafios, como pressão e estresse, que acabaram afetando seu bem-estar físico e mental. Objetivo: compreender os desafios enfrentados pelos profissionais enfermeiros da rede de UE durante a pandemia do COVID-19. Métodos: trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura. Resultados e Discussão: A partir da busca e de uma triagem, foram selecionados 12 artigos científicos para coleta, leitura criteriosa e análise dos dados. São inúmeros os desafios enfrentados pelos profissionais da saúde. O medo de contaminação, situações de estresse nos ambientes de trabalho e desenvolvimento de questões psicológicas foi o desafio mais abrangente Considerações finais: a realização da pesquisa permitiu a reflexão e expôs a necessidade da criação de planejamentos estratégicos para possíveis situações enfrentadas pela UE e a necessidade de preparação do serviço de saúde e profissionais, visando à minimização de desafios no serviço de saúde.
Introdução: O Infarto Agudo do Miocárdio (IAM) é causado pela interrupção do fluxo sanguíneo nas artérias coronárias que irrigam o miocárdio. Tratase de um evento de alta relevância clínica que requer internação hospitalar, preferencialmente em um Centro de Terapia Intensiva. Objetivo: Descrever o caso de um homem jovem de 30 anos que apresentou IAM, e a assistência do enfermeiro para este paciente internado na Unidade de Terapia Intensiva. Método: Tratase de um estudo de caso realizado em um hospital da região CentroOeste de Minas Gerais, em dezembro de 2008, conveniado ao Sistema único de Saúde, utilizando o Processo de Enfermagem baseado em Horta (1979) e na Sistematização da Assistência de Enfermagem baseado na taxonomia II da NANDA. Resultado: Foram encontrados 15 diagnósticos e intervenções associadas. Conclusão: Importância fundamental da Assistência do Enfermeiro para o tratamento dos pacientes com Infarto Agudo do Miocárdio.
Objetivo: Analisar as condutas definidas pelas autoridades brasileiras acerca da pandemia da COVID-19 no Brasil. Método: Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa de literatura sobre as condutas adotadas frente a pandemia da COVID-19 no Brasil. Foi realizado um levantamento de artigos nas bases de dados Medline, Lilacs e Pubmed, no período de 31 de dezembro de 2019 a 12 de abril de 2020, 19 estudos foram selecionados. Resultados: Um artigo tratou sobre as intervenções não farmacológicas, oito artigos abordaram medidas da Vigilância em Saúde e os aspectos Epidemiológicos da COVID-19 e os outros nove artigos abordaram as medidas de prevenção, tratamento e ou controle da COVID-19 no Brasil. Conclusão: A maioria das medidas tomadas pelo Brasil foi baseada em condutas adotadas em outras emergências de saúde pública com semelhanças clínicas e epidemiológicas com o atual cenário da pandemia no Brasil.
