ResuméModerní technologie se stále častěji uplatňují i ve výuce přírodopisu. Jednoduché termokamery mohou být používány s výhodou v terénní výuce mezipředmětového tématu funkce vegetace v našem životním prostředí. Vegetace hraje významnou roli v distribuci solární energie a koloběhu vody v krajině. Rostliny využívají většinu dopadající sluneční energie na výpar vody z listů. Ochlazují tak sebe i své okolí. Sluneční energie vázaná ve vodní páře se potom na chladných místech při kondenzaci zpět na vodu uvolňuje a své okolí ohřívá. Díky těmto procesům tepelné výměny vegetace ovlivňuje místní klima a vyrovnává teplotní výkyvy. Tepelné změny na povrchu a v okolí vegetace jsou pomocí termovize i na úrovni základní školy dobře detekovatelné a vysvětlitelné. Ačkoliv je tato funkce vegetace pro životní prostředí člověka velmi významná, ve výuce na základních školách je doposud zcela opomíjena. Proto byla s využitím termovize a dalších digitálních senzorů vytvořena inovativní metodika výuky pro ZŠ k tomuto tématu, s níž tento příspěvek čtenáře seznamuje. Zároveň přináší i zkušenosti získané v rámci pilotního ověřování této metodiky a výsledky sondy zaměřené na názory učitelů a žáků na využití zmíněných moderních technologií při výuce. Učitelé i žáci tuto inovativní metodiku výuky hodnotili vesměs pozitivně. Někteří učitelé však spatřují limity v malé časové dotaci pro výuku a mají, mnohdy neoprávněné, obavy z finanční náročnosti termovizního snímkování.
