A noção de isometria é muito utilizada em vários sistemas computacionais e aplicações diversas. Para a elaboração do texto foi utilizado o modelo euclidiano, através das coordenadas cartesianas, e o modelo homogêneo, através das coordenadas homogêneas. O modelo euclidiano, baseado na Geometria Euclidiana, foi o primeiro a ser adotado na matemática, mas com o uso computacional, destacase o modelo homogêneo, que tem como base a Geometria Projetiva. Neste trabalho, discutimos as vantagens teóricas e computacionais do modelo homogêneo.
