O presente artigo tem como objetivo, compreender as contribuições dos processos de saúde e doença das convicções xamânicas, relacionadas aos princípios do curso de Naturologia. Entretanto, esta pesquisa traz ao leitor, um passeio inicial sobre quais são as múltiplas facetas do xamanismo; como são seus contextos filosóficos, culturais e simbólicos, inseridos socialmente no mundo contemporâneo. Ainda, são apresentados as concepções, crenças e mecanismos de ações do curso de Naturologia. Os estudos sobre os conceitos da saúde e doença ao longo da história foram fundamentais para construir os argumentos de discussões dos conteúdos propostos, partindo destas reflexões, também enfocam suas possíveis aproximações e distanciamentos. Verificou-se que a cosmologia xamânica procura exercer a totalidade do ser e pode influenciar positivamente no procedimento de interagência. A partir da tomada de novos estados de consciência, o enfermo pode transcender o entendimento normal e comum que este tem com base da realidade, acessando sua singularidade. Contudo, as vias de cura xamânica trabalham interagindo com o enfermo e lidam intrinsecamente com o tratamento da alma. Propõe-se que sejam feitos mais estudos nesta área tão diversa e múltipla. Os principais autores guias estudados sobre xamanismo foram: Eliade (1998), Harner (1995) e Langdon (1996). Esta pesquisa adota a metodologia de revisão bibliográfica, fonte secundária, caráter qualitativo, descritivo e exploratório.
