O objetivo desta pesquisa é apresentar uma reflexão sobre a perspectiva dos licenciandos acerca do estágio supervisionado na Universidade Federal do Amazonas, analisando as contribuições e desafios na formação docente. A metodologia consistiu em uma pesquisa bibliográfica e uma pesquisa de campo, com abordagem qualitativa e quantitativa, exploratória e descritiva, envolvendo 20 graduandos do curso de Ciências: Biologia e Química. Verificou-se que entre a teoria e a prática há diversos entraves como a dificuldade para realização das atividades devido a divergências entre o planejamento dos estudantes e o da escola, dificuldade dos discentes com a disciplina de química, organização pessoal e questões financeiras. A detecção das lacunas envolvidas no estágio supervisionado pode contribuir para um melhor aproveitamento dessa prática e construção dos saberes docentes.
Este estudo apresenta os resultados de uma pesquisa desenvolvida no período de 2020/2021 no âmbito do Programa de Iniciação Científica de uma universidade federal. A preocupação central do estudo foi o de aprofundar conhecimentos sobre os fatores que contribuem para a permanência de jovens das camadas populares que acessam os cursos de graduação desta universidade. A questão norteadora que orientou o processo de investigação foi a seguinte: Que fatores estão envolvidos na permanência dos jovens de camadas populares que acessam os cursos de graduação? A ida a campo foi autorizada pelo Comitê de Ética e Pesquisa, mas como a situação da pandemia voltou a se agravar a aplicação dos questionários aconteceu no formato online. Pela natureza do objeto e objetivos do estudo, os dados foram analisados a partir da abordagem qualitativa. Dos 130 e-mails enviados aos acadêmicos convidando-os para participarem da pesquisa, houve o retorno de apenas 53 participantes. Após análise dos dados foi possível constatar a relevância que os auxílios e bolsas assumem na permanência dos discentes de camadas populares na universidade, embora o número de ações e programas ainda não seja suficiente para atender a demanda crescente dos que necessitam.
