For making the Journal of Marine Science and Technology (JMST) known to wider audiences, the Japan Society of Naval Architects and Ocean Engineers (JASNAOE) invited three articles describing important works for academic research and industrial and regulatory application as featured articles. These invitations are based on discussion of experts in JASNAOE and associate editors of JMST. With support of Grants-in-Aids for Publication of Scientific Research Results, Japan Society of the Promotion of Science, these articles can be downloaded free from the JMST web site (http://link.springer.com/search?query= &search-within=Journal&facet-journal-id=773&package= openaccessarticles) by anyone. I hope that this scheme could provide those who are not familiar with JMST so far, an opportunity to read the relevant articles in JMST.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
