Objective] Off-campus clinical training was introduced to the school curriculum for acupuncture, moxibustion, and massage (AMM) with a revision of the school curriculum in 2018. Although there is some research on bedside teaching as a contribution to communication education, there are no studies examining changes in communication skills before and after AMM training. Therefore, in this study, we investigated changes in communication skills based on students' attributes and characteristics before and after AMM training. [Method] Eighty-five first-year students from the acupuncture and moxibustion (AM) and AMM departments of the school participated in the study. The questionnaire survey was conducted before and after off-campus clinical training from February to March 2019. Each student visited five clinical training facilities to help develop their perspective. The anonymous responses were analyzed using numbers provided by the participants.
