Academic buoyancy is a very important ability to be possessed by students in the face of the typical academic setbacks and challenges in the daily life of students at school, but in the development of academic buoyancy of students are still questionable. The purpose of this research is to find out the academic buoyancy of science students and to find out the academic buoyancy of science students based on gender and also age at high school level. This research uses mix methods approach with concurrent embedded strategy. The sample of research involves 289 students of science class XI of senior high school in Bandung City on Academic Year 2017/2018 using random sampling. The findings of the study showed that science students need to have higher academic buoyancy compared to other students, the male students of science have higher academic buoyancy than female students of science, and the science students who have higher academic buoyancy are at age of 18 and 15. These results are presented in an implication analysis for academic outcomes.
The purpose of this study is to develop an inventory to measure the readiness of college students to build family well-being. In particular, this study produced an inventory tool based on the construct of student readiness to get married. Research uses research and development methods. The research procedures were carried out starting from construct development, expert weighing, face validation, to field trials to obtain empirical inventory validity and reliability. The standard research sample involved 267 students from six public and private universities in the city of Bandung. The results of the study obtained an inventory with a number of items declared valid and an adequate reliability score. The inventory developed was also accompanied by a usage manual which would later be used for premarital counseling. This study recommends the use of inventory as a basis for the development of effective premarital counseling for students in various universities.
The study aims to find out the improvement of social adjustment in university on International Studies on Science Education (IPSE) student of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) after being given social personal guidance. This study uses a quantitative approach to the type of experimental research. Subjects in this study were 44 students taken with random sampling technique. The data collection tool in this study used a scale of social adjustment in college. The data analysis in this study uses t-test. The results showed that personal social guidance can improve social adjustment in college students by using sociodrama, simulation, and experience techniques. This study presents an alternative strategy for academic advisors in universities to facilitate students in developing social adjustment skills in universities.
