Sebagai salah satu negara yang terletak di lempengan Indo-Australia dan Eurasia, Indonesia rawan terhadap berbagai jenis bencana alam seperti gunung meletus dan gempa bumi yang seringkali diikuti oleh tsunami. Bencana alam bisa terjadi kapan saja dan di mana saja, tidak terkecuali di wilayah-wilayah yang menjadi destinasi wisata. Ketika bencana alam melanda objek wisata Indonesia, saat itu pula organisasi kepariwisataan Indonesia mengalami krisis, di antaranya adalah objek wisata itu sendiri, hotel, restoran, dan semua organisasi terkait lainnya. Maka itu, diperlukan penanggulangan krisis yang tepat. Penelitian ini berusaha mengamati strategi penanganan krisis yang terjadi di sektor pariwisata Indonesia yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah, dalam hal ini adalah Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Bencana (BNPB). Menggunakan paradigma post-positivistik, penelitian ini di dekati secara kualitatif dengan strategi penelitian deskriptif melalui wawancara mendalam kepada informan terpilih, yaitu unsur pengarah BNPB Indonesia. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa Indonesia menangani krisis di sektor pariwisata dengan beberapa tahap seperti rehabilitasi, rekonstruksi, dan recovery (pemulihan) hingga build back better.
Aktivitas beberapa media dalam pemilihan presiden tahun 2014 menjadi cermin meningkatnya peran media dalam proses suksesi pemilihan. Masalahnya, ada isu independensi yang mengemuka karena pemberitaan yang tidak berimbang saat masa pemilihan. Beberapa penelitian terdahulu menghubungkan pola pemberitaan seperti itu dengan isu kepemilikan media. Pemilik media dianggap memiliki kepentingan pribadi atas konten yang dimunculkan. Reese dan Shoemaker (1996) meyakini konten media dipengaruhi berbagai faktor, salah satunya kepemilikan media. Penelitian ini didekati secara kualitatif menggunakan analisis framing dari Gamson-Mondigliani. Mengambil objek penelitian Koran Sindo yang berada dalam grup MNC milik Hari Tanoesoedibjo, penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada upaya pembingkaian berita tentang sosok Joko Widodo secara negatif. Pembingkaian yang dilakukan Koran Sindo mengisyaratkan agenda tersembunyi di balik teks berita yang disampaikan media. Seakan mendukung riset terdahulu, penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa isi media bukanlah sebuah cermin dari realitas yang sebenarnya, tetapi dibentuk oleh berbagai faktor yang menghasilkan berbagai versi yang berbeda dari realitas. Ada faktor kepemilikan yang memberikan pengaruh pada agenda penyusunan teks media.Kata kunci: framing, kepemilikan media, media massa, pemberitaan, pemilihan presiden.
The revolution of digital era has changed our lives in every way. The invention of social media change how people communicate to each other nowadays. Some communities use it as a new media for discussion. Whats App Group (WAG) is one of the most popular social media that been used by a community for a specific issue. Digital Democracy Forum (FDD) is one of the community that having specific issue in their group as a community that focusing on reinforcing the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (UU ITE). UU ITE been authorized by the government in 2008, and considered harmful to the internet user because it is not emphasizes morality. Since its authorization, people encourage that the law needs to change and revised for a better use of it. FDD consist of Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), academics, and activist whose trying to advocate the needs of the law itself to be revised to become more effective and efficient. This research conducted with netnography methods as grounded theory. Primary data in this research will consist online observation and content analysis from hypertext interactions of FDD community in their Whats App Group. This research expect to disclose the government how to accommodate the aspirations of the people relating to the law reinforcement especially in the field of participating and giving opinion in the internet.
Trauma healing is a crucial stage in a long tourism sector recovery process after a natural disaster. Post-disaster psychological support is needed to reduce trauma in society, especially for remote communities. However, health services for people affected by health crises due to disaster at the provincial level are inadequate. This study aims to identify mental health communication forms in the trauma recovery process for tsunami victims in Pandeglang, Banten. This research uses the case study method. Approached descriptive-qualitatively, this study describes the practice of mental health communication in the context of trauma healing for natural disaster victims in Indonesian tourist attractions. This study found that mental health communication efforts included psychosocial assistance for children and adults, treatment for people with mental health disorders (ODGJ- orang dengan gangguan jiwa), counseling for victims, home visits, and health services for 26 ODGJs, and home visits for victims without mental disorders.
Computer Mediated Communication encourages the formation of virtual communities in the new media era. The shift in communication patterns to become more effective and efficient is one of the advantages that can be felt through the presence of the Internet in the daily life of its users. Discord as the main medium for exchanging information for members of the Indonesian Autoclutch community, specifically discusses sim racing or virtual racing which is in great demand by various social, economic, and age groups. Thus, the existence of Discord as a means of fulfilling information needs that has been used by more than 100 million users every month is interesting to be studied further. This study aims to analyze Discord as a medium for meeting the information needs of the ACID community using Uses and Gratifications Theory. The methodology used in this study is based on the positivistic paradigm, through a quantitative approach, with an explanatory type, using measuring tools in the form of a questionnaire, simple correlation analysis data analysis techniques, and Discrepancy Theory to see a comparison between motives and satisfaction obtained. The results showed that there was a moderate level of satisfaction with a percentage of 82%.
