La investigación descriptiva con enfoque cuanti-cualitativo realizada con el objetivo de diagnosticar la situación sobre la implementación de programas de mentoría dirigidos a los estudiantes de nuevo ingreso de la carrera de Educación Básica de la Universidad Técnica de Machala (UTMach) se sistematizó mediante los métodos: revisión bibliográfica, fenomenológico, analítico-sintético, inductivo, triangulación de datos y estadístico, y las técnicas de entrevista estructurada y encuesta, develando que existen las condiciones subjetivas para su ejecución; los estudiantes, docentes y directivos de la muestra coinciden en las bondades de la mentoría y la disposición a participar en ella.
Comprendiendo que la familia, como pilar fundamental en la formación de sus hijos no puede estar distante del contexto educativo, ha motivado analizar el involucramiento de la familia en el tema escolar; mediante la investigación bibliográfica para proponer estrategias de inserción en el proceso de aprendizaje; para lo cual, se ha considerado el enfoque cualitativo, apoyándose de los métodos: analítico-sintético, histórico lógico y heurístico; por otra parte, se ha analizado los siguientes tópicos: el niño y su contexto familiar; La familia como pilar fundamental en la formación de sus hijos, la familia y el contexto educativo; y estrategias de inserción de la familia en el escenario educativo; llegando a la conclusión que la relación familia-escuela complementa la formación del niño/a, potencializando sus habilidades y destrezas, con la colaboración de agentes educativos, que participen de manera directa y espontánea para brindarle una educación plena, tanto en la institución educativa como en el hogar, proporcionándoles un ambiente estable y seguro; como También la necesidad de fomentar la comunicación entre familia y escuela para fortalecer la relación entre los miembros de la comunidad educativa, que permita dinamizar y fluir la participación, en la educación de los niños/as para facilitarles su inserción social.
