It is beyond any doubt that the poetry of Iqbal played a vital role in bringing life to the dead spirit of Muslims in Indian sub-continent. It was Iqbal’s philosophy, which brought the element of synergy in Muslims of Indian subcontinent and played a pivotal role in making it possible for them to accomplish their drive for independence. He considered the youth as the nation’s wealth and remained in interaction with them in most of his poetry. Iqbal is such a legendary symbol that hundreds of PhDs and thousands of research papers have been written on his philosophy and poetry but it is a fundamental truth that none of these were able to completely frame the message of Iqbal. He urged the Muslim youth in his poetry to resemble with the qualities of eagle. In this research article an effort has been to illustrate the qualities of eagle that Dr. Muhammad Iqbal wished to see in the Muslim youth and analyse the characteristics of “momin” in the light of Quran and Hadith and for that references has been taken from various research papers and books. Iqbal’s entire poetry is actually the interpretation of message and teachings of Quran therefore, if we are to secure our today and future then we has to bring awareness of Iqbal’s poetry and its underlying message to the common people.
