Cet article est un extrait de l’ouvrage Femmes dans l’ombre de Jung écrit par Nadia Neri, analyste jungienne italienne, qui sera prochainement publié dans sa traduction française. Dans le chapitre consacré à Toni Wolff, nous avons choisi de montrer au lecteur la spécificité de l’œuvre de cette femme qui accompagna Jung sa vie durant, de faire apparaître l’enracinement de sa pensée dans la réflexion philosophique, mais surtout de souligner l’attention et l’intérêt qu’elle a porté à la psychologie de la femme. La typologie spécifiquement féminine élaborée par l’auteur est ici décrite de manière assez détaillée pour qu’on puisse en percevoir le caractère novateur pour l’époque. La publication de l’extrait se clôt sur quelques éléments biographiques consacrés à cette femme largement méconnue, ainsi que par le récit du rêve que fit Jung au lendemain de l’annonce de sa mort.
