A linear array of microphones, which allow measuring the field of sound sources in the air in the wide frequency range is designed. The measurements are processed by the matched filter that allows visualizing the sound source objects. The present paper presents the results of experimental studies of visualization sound source objects in the air at frequencies from 18 kHz to 29 kHz. Here is proposed the method for synthesizing the sources of an acoustic field on the basis of an approximation of the phase screen. The technology of manufacturing ultrasonic phased arrays providing the formation of a field of a given distribution is proposed. An experimental setup has been developed for the formation of a vortex field at a distance of 10 cm.
Abstract. In this paper the method of imaging of wideband audio sources based on the 2D microphone array measurements of the sound field at the same time in all the microphones is proposed. Designed microphone array consists of 160 microphones allowing to digitize signals with a frequency of 7200 Hz. Measured signals are processed using the special algorithm that makes it possible to obtain a flat image of wideband sound sources. It is shown experimentally that the visualization is not dependent on the waveform, but determined by the bandwidth. Developed system allows to visualize sources with a resolution of up to 10 cm.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
