Since 2014, materials and publications have become extremely popular in Ukraine, the content of which is connected with the armed conflict in the east of Ukraine. According to the results of sociological polls in 2018 – respondents named the conflict in the Donbas and Luhansk region the main problem of modern Ukraine. It’s not the first time when the history of the development of military journalism and the military media have attracted the attention of scientists, but it is still early to consider all issues relating to military buildings, in particular those that appeared during the armed conflict in the east of Ukraine. The purpose of the article is to characterize the content and image features of the public and private military media of Ukraine. To achieve this goal, it is supposed to analyze the most replicated and influential modern military media of Ukraine, as well as to consider the newly created edition of military subjects of the ATO / EP period and compare the features of their content during the information war.The object of the study: the central print edition of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine “People’s Army” and the newspaper of the special purpose regiment of the National Guard of Ukraine “Azov” “Black Sun”. Comparing the two editions, we have come to the conclusion that both newspapers, first of all, are striving to widely and objectively cover the current problems of the Ukrainian army, its reform issues, talk about current events in the ATO / OOS zone, and also – and most importantly – take care of the formation of the reader’s audience of a positive image for the fatherland shield. The newspapers mentioned above have various circulations, different form their own content, different in lexical features, but adequately fulfill their main purpose: to provide the citizens of Ukraine with the information about the life of the modern army, which meets the requirements of the time.
The relevance of the research undertaken is determined by the insufficient description of the cognitive approach in relation to word formation units, the unjustifiably rare use of word formation data by the conceptology that is actively developing in linguistics, and the need to form semantic-cognitive analysis procedures relevant to the research object to determine the boundaries of complex units of the word-formation level. The article focuses on the philosophical issues of linguistics, in particular word formation. The peculiarity of linguistics at the end of the 20th century, the essence of which is the recognition of the cognitive conditioning of the main linguistic units and structures, is noted. It is noted that the materialization of certain concepts with the help of linguistic means always consists of a certain ordering, systematization, distribution by headings, categorization. The main function of the analysis and classification of derived words is determined not as groups of derived words or a system of derivational types, but the principles of construction and deployment of complex derivational fragments (blocks, rows, fields), taking into account derivational units larger than a word, analytical analogs of derived words, constructions in the derivation function, only way to represent the derivative and its semantics.
The article deals with the specific means and ways of expressiveness and pathos expression of publicism in two publicistic works of A.T. Averchenko – “A Dozen knives in the back of the revolution” and “Twelve portraits (in the format of "boudoir")”. The fixation and analysis of various expression forms of the author`s attitude to people and events, which are described, admissible and possible only in publicism, such as scattered in the text in the form of lapidar comments or lexical characteristics all over its space as well as implications and peculiarities of architectonics, all this gives grounds to introduce a new term. This new term – “publicistem” – would make it possible to define publicistic expressiveness. The introduction of the term will contribute to the economy of lexical means while analyzing publicistic works and will let us find out both similar and different features in the paradigm of such works. The works “A Dozen knives in the back of the revolution” and “Twelve portraits (in the format of "boudoir")” were being created almost simultaneously at the beginning of the 1920-s, in the period when the emigrant-writer, who left Russia, gradually switches from a funny genre, a witty story, to publicism as a from which gives opportunity for the direct, critical expression of your own attitude to the events happening in Motherland. It is well-known that Averchenko had a deeply negative attitude to the revolutionary events, and to the October revolution in particular. These two works are similar not only due to their publicistic tension but also due to the similarity of themes and even some “characters”. However, the first work includes feuilletons, whereas the second contains pamphlets. The stories written by Averchenko after October 1917 may have been considered by the author as those that do not clearly express his civic stand. If this supposition is right, then it is clear why Averchenko works actively in publicism during his last years. The results we want to reach and the ways to reach them are illustrated with the examples from publicistic works written by Averchenko in the 1920-s. They are connected with the projections of the set up theoretic hypothesis onto the specificity of feuilleton texts.
