Os manguezais desempenham um papel crucial na sustentação da vida e das comunidades humanas nas regiões costeiras. Eles fornecem uma série de serviços essenciais para a biodiversidade e para aqueles que vivem nessas áreas em todo o trópico. Este estudo tem como objetivo analisar a composição química do solo de manguezais, com foco nos metais pesados Cd, Cr, Cu, Mn, Pb, Se e Zn, e realizar comparações entre manguezais protegidos por unidades de conservação e manguezais sujeitos a impactos antrópicos. Diante dos resultados alcançados, Pb e Cd apresentaram valores acima do permitido em relação ao CONAMA 420/2009, entretanto Cr, Cu, Mn, Se e Zn mostraram valores considerados permitidos a respeito da resolução de medidas contra a natureza. Os resultados mais expressivos, pode ter relação direta com atividades antropogênicas, principalmente o Pb que pode ter relação direta com combustível. Na região do presente estudo, algumas situações como atividades portuárias influenciam diretamente no impacto destes ecossistemas. Em relação Cr, Cu, Mn, Se e Zn, pode ter indicado que na região estudada, não há uma entrada direta de atividades geológicas, assim reforçando grandes atividades do fluxo nas marés para o impacto de metais pesados nestes locais.
