Obtaining herbicide resistant plants is an important task in the genetic engineering of forest trees. Transgenic European aspen plants (Populus tremula L.) expressing the bar gene for phosphinothricin resistance have been produced using Agrobacterium tumefaciens-mediated transformation. Successful genetic transformation was confirmed by PCR analysis for thirteen lines derived from two elite genotypes. In 2014–2015, six lines were evaluated for resistance to herbicide treatment under semi-natural conditions. All selected transgenic lines were resistant to the herbicide Basta at doses equivalent to 10 l/ha (twofold normal field dosage) whereas the control plants died at 2.5 l/ha. Foliar NH4-N concentrations in transgenic plants did not change after treatment. Extremely low temperatures in the third ten-day period of October 2014 revealed differences in freeze tolerance between the lines obtained from Pt of f2 aspen genotypes. Stable expression of the bar gene after overwintering outdoors was confirmed by RT-PCR. On the basis of the tests, four transgenic aspen lines were selected. The bar gene could be used for retransformation of transgenic forest trees expressing valuable traits, such as increased productivity.
Influence of agro-climatic factors on the development of common soybean diseases The article presents the results of the study of the influence of agro-climatic factors on the development of major soybean diseases (varieties Anthracite, Sprytna and Perlyna) during 2016-2019 in terms of commercial crops. The dominance of the pathogens Alternaria, Fusarium, Septoria and bacterial burns among the crops was determined. The connection between the development and spread of soybean diseases and hydrothermal environmental conditions was studied. Keywords: soybean, alternariosis, septoria, fusarium wilt, bacterial burns, disease development, disease prevalence.
The article reveals the essence of project management, the feature of which is the implementation of multifaceted technological characteristics and subject area of design solutions. It is proved that the methods of project management allow to analyze the issues and determine the objectives of the project, justify the project and develop an appropriate set of documents; determine the necessary amounts and sources of funding; identify the structure of the project and schedule its implementation; calculate the necessary resources, estimates and project budget. The peculiarities of project management as a tool for greening the development of enterprises of the national economy in the conditions of constant complication of doing business and finding ways to improve it in the context of improving the efficiency of economic activity are studied. The project activity is covered, covering all spheres of enterprise functioning, such as production, marketing and innovation activity, social sphere. It is substantiated that the wide application of the project approach to economic development has led to the efficiency and versatility of project tools that allow the company to adapt to the business environment, reduce uncertainty and ensure sustainable development in modern business conditions.
The article highlights a centenary evolution of the organization of the regional principle of agricultural research as one of the types of scientific support, whose role in modern conditions of formation and development of the national system of agrarian science, as well as the search for ways of its integration, becomes particularly importance. In the early 1920s Ukrainian, Western European and American agrarian scientists discovered the effectiveness of scientifically justified agricultural production taking into account soil and climatic conditions. At that time, it became an impetus to the application of the regional principle as the main way of organization of scientific support of Ukrainian agriculture in the new economic conditions. For the development of agrarian science, the organizational model of sectoral research according to the American type was used, as the most effective world example of research work organization, where the main role was played by regional research stations. For the effective organization of scientific support, in their structure there were departments for various scientific fields: field farming, horticulture, gardening, breeding, agrochemistry, entomology, phytopathology, agricultural meteorology, animal husbandry and agricultural economics, which later developed into special research institutes. In modern conditions to the regional principle in Ukraine powerful specialized National Research Centers have been formed, which have improved and expanded the sectoral research work in different soil and climatic conditions of the country: Southern, Central and Northern Steppe; insufficient, unstable and sufficient humidified of the Forest-Steppe; Polissya. At the beginning of the 21st century, Ukrainian scientists developed innovative technologies in various areas of specialization, processed the strategy of computerization of the agrarian sector, introduced economic and mathematical modeling for different levels of management of agricultural production processes and created regional information databases. Ukrainian scientists are now intensively cooperation with their foreign colleagues to develop and implement joint research programs, hold international congresses and symposia and establish international sectoral scientific organizations. It is important to solve large-scale problems, the main of which are the sustainable development of agroecosystems, ecologization and biologization of agrarian production, conservation and improvement of soil fertility and biodiversity, as well as production of ecological friendly products.
