We investigate the optical bistability (OB) behavior in a unidirectional ring cavity containing an asymmetric semiconductor double quantum dot (QD) system that forms a three-level V type system. We apply a probe and a coupling field to the system and it is shown that in the presence of inter-dot tunneling, the bistability of the system can be controlled by amplitude and relative phase of applied fields.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
