Мета: на основі вивчення особливостей факторів ризику серцево-судинних захворювань оптимізувати надання медичної допомоги з урахуванням гендерних аспектів. Матеріали і методи. Застосовано бібліосемантичний та аналітичний методи з метою поглибленого вивчення гендерних особливостей факторів ризику серцево-судинних захворювань. Результати. Вважається, що на серцево-судинні захворювання переважно хворіють чоловіки, а для жінок основною загрозою є рак. Насправді хвороби серця уражають більше жінок і є значно поширенішими за всі форми раку разом. І це той факт, який сьогодні, на жаль, невідомий широкому загалу. У загальній структурі смертності майже половина всіх летальних випадків припадає на серцево-судинні захворювання, із них 49 % – у жінок і 40 % – у чоловіків. Поширена думка, що жінки мають менше факторів ризику розвитку цієї патології, також є хибною. Результати багатьох досліджень довели, що фактори ризику в жінок та у чоловіків мають багато гендерних особливостей та відмінностей, які необхідно враховувати при діагностиці та лікуванні кардіоваскулярної патології лікарями загальної практики і кардіологами. Відомо, що більшість пацієнтів обох статей з факторами ризику ведуть нездоровий спосіб життя, не досягають цільових значень артеріального тиску, ліпідного та глікемічного профілей, що впливає на тривалість та якість життя. Висновки. У складі загальної стратегії протистояння смертності населення, зокрема працездатного віку, від хвороб системи кровообігу повинна бути вироблена спеціальна стратегія боротьби із загальною смертністю від цієї причини і вона повинна стати пріоритетною.
