The paper presents 3D printing materials frictional properties in vacuum investigation. Reciprocating motion friction tests in vacuum and heating up to 130 °C were carried out with. Commercially available 3D printing materials (SBS, ABS, PETG, PLA, NYLON SUPER CARBON 2) were used. The friction coefficient dependence of sample temperature during frictional testing in vacuum and critical temperature values were obtained. Polymers PETG, NYLON SUPER CARBON 2 can be used in friction units operating in a vacuum, as they have a low friction coefficient at room and high temperatures. The lowest friction coefficient at room temperature and the best temperature resistance is possessed by NYLON SUPER CARBON 2. The research results can be used in the manufacture of 3D printing devices parts operating in a vacuum.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
