Risk has is a modern concept of control which directly influencing on the general decision making. The risk of being victim of a disease changed the behavior of the individuals. With the increasing risk and the reactions of the individuals on the risk make the critical discussion in behavioral studies. Health risk as a global consent of the general public, policy makers and the regulatory bodies has continuously attending on addressing the health risk reduction methods. Similarly the CKDu as the emerging global health issue especially in the developing world has been highlighted the importance of intervention from the regulatory bodies. With the increasing attention on the matter the govern-ments are using different forms of consumer education programs. But the current statistics on effec-tiveness education programs reviles that the education programs have less ability to change the indi-vidual behaviors. Therefore the study attempt to review the existing literature to explain the theoreti-cal justification on the less effectiveness of the education programs. For the purpose the study has reviewed the theoretical publications and highlighted that the consumer understanding on the risk factors and the method of risk reeducation is not only assessed based on the external information process but it will also influenced by the social conversation and the social construction of the risk assessment. Finally the study emphasis that the educational programs on CKDu to work as the meth-ods altering the consumer behavior to reduce the CKDu risk. The development of the programs need to concentrate on the conversational and the construction perspectives of the risk assessment and the responding behaviors which is been identified as the future study requirement by the researcher. Supply chain uncertainty and risk is a rising area in today’s business world. With the development of globalization, fast food industry has gained a higher customer demand. Due to that reason fast food industry has to face various types of supply chain uncertainties and risk than ever before. The supply chain uncertainty and risk have significant impacts on organizational performance in the fast food industry because most of the procedures are associated with the human interactions and mostly it depends on the forecasted data. Even though the supply chain uncertainty and risk have an impact on the organizational performance, as people they perceive it differently according to their perception. The workers who work in the fast food outlets may have a different perception on the impact of supply chain uncertainty and risk on their organizational performance. This is called Perceived Organizational Performance. The purpose of this paper is to present how workers who work in the fast food outlets perceive the impact of supply chain uncertainty and risk on the organizational performance in their outlets. The research study was done specifically to Anuradhapura district. The empirical data was collected from the fast food outlets’ workers within the Anuradhapura District. The main focus in here is to identify the impact that each source of supply chain uncertainty and risk have on the Perceived Organizational Performance. They are (1) Logistic uncertainty and risk, (2) Information uncertainty and risk, and (3) Customer related uncertainty and risk and (4) Environmental uncertainty and risk. These results contribute to the supply chain uncertainty and risk literature. In addition, it provides an insight into future researches relating to the fast food industry and Perceived Organizational Performance.
Job satisfaction becomes a major research interest in recent for all types of organizations and businesses. This study examines the job satisfaction of the employees work in charitable organizations in Sri Lanka. Hundred employees who are working in charitable organizations around the country have been completed the measurers of job satisfaction. Job Descriptive Index (JDI), a five scale measure of job satisfaction has been applied. The study has been utilized the primary as well as the secondary data and both descriptive and inferential tools have been used in analyzing the data. The results indicate that only the opportunities for promotions, and satisfaction with co-workers have a significant impact on the job satisfaction of the employees in charitable organizations in Sri Lanka.
