Objective: to study baseline autonomic tone and autonomic responsiveness in patients with neuroreflectory syncopal states (NSS) during a passive orthotest in orthostatic and clinostatic phases. Subjects and methods. A study group comprised 40 patients with NSS, a comparative group included 57 patients with panic attacks (PA); a control group consisted of 22 subjects without the above conditions. Cardiac rhythm variability was estimated applying a Neuron-spectrum device. Results. During the orthotest, the patients with NSS showed inadequate activity of the sympathetic nervous system as compared with the patients with PA and the control group. At the same time, the clinostatic test revealed that the indicators restored to the normal values in patients with NSS, unlike in those with PA.
In the article presented results on research of dynamics of impellent and emotional infringements, qualities of life of poststroke patients in the regenerative period against the spent physical rehabilitation including methods of mirror therapy and proprioceptive correction. By surviving of 39 patients was shown the efficiency of rehabilitation actions on key parameters of impellent activity and self-service degree. During the regenerative period was revealed increase of frequency, but reduction of expressiveness of disturbing-depressive infringements, life improvement of quality poststroke patients.
The initial vegetative tonus and vegetative reactivity were studied in patients with neuroreflectory syncopal states (NSS) during passive orthostatic testing in the orthostatic and clinical phases. The variability of the heart rhythm was estimated on the Neiron-spektr device. During the orthostatic testing, the insufficient activity of the sympathetic part of the nervous system in NSS patients was observed compared to the control group. During the clinostatic testing, the indices of NSS patients approached the normal values.
The aim of investigation has been a specification of affective disturbances at patients in acute stroke period depending on the lesion focus. Affective disturbances have been revealed by imaging methods — computed and magnetic resonance tomography (CT or MRT). 72 patients with strokes have been examined (41 women and 31 men). Affective disturbances have been evaluated according to criterions and have been specified with depression self-concept scale of Beck. During the investigation the following conclusions have been made: 1) depressive disturbances of all the patients have had the character of light depressive episode (average mark by Beck scale — 22,14 ± 1,59); 2) depressive disturbance frequency have been significantly greater at stem structure damage than of the right (p < 0,001) and left (p < 0,05) hemispheres; 3) depressive disturbances have been revealed more frequently at single persons (p < 0,05).
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
