When mapping is applied for the Double Weight code family to increase the number of users, for Spectral Amplitude Coding Optical Code Division Multiple Access (SAC OCDMA) systems, the conventional complementary detection technique cannot be used to retrieve the intended signal because of the unfixed cross-correlation value between different code sequences. This paper studies the software simulation for two alternative detection schemes that can support mapping; the hybrid WDM/SAC and a proposed reduced set of Fiber Bragg Gratings (FBG) for the hybrid WDM/SAC. The performance of the two systems have been simulated and analyzed by the Virtual photonics Instrument (VPI) version 7.1.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
