MODERNIZATION OF HYDROGEN CONTINUOUS ANALYZERS OF UPG Abstract The mixtures of the UPG aim to produce a gas mixture called HN, proportionally combining Hydrogen and Nitrogen (75/25 and 05/95) to generate the atmosphere of protection for galvanizing lines furnaces, annealing lines of plates, furnaces for continuous galvanizing line, box oven and continuous annealing line of plates. The old analyzers Hidros 100 (Fisher Rosemount) and Thermomat (Fuji) that operated in the mixers were manufactured in the 90s and had low operational reliability, difficulty settings, intermittent faults with difficult to diagnose and risk of uncontrolled mixtures of Hydrogen with Nitrogen. In addition, did not have more technical support from the manufacturer nor spares parts for maintenance. In this scenario, this work aims to present the modernization of these equipments by current analyzers of easy operation and configuration, simple maintenance and on-board fault diagnosis and with more reliably, an essential factor for ensuring the availability of production. The new deployed analyzers provide more accurate and reliable real-time analysis for the control system of correction of the mixture of HN. The results were significant for the current operating conditions. Representing increased operational safety, reduced maintenance costs with the equipment and generating productivity gains and competitiveness for the consuming areas in the UPV.
This study analyzes the relation between the public sector’s strategic management resources and Brazilian states’ performance. The Resource-Based View (RBV) serves as the theoretical foundation for the research. The study was carried out in a sample of 20 Brazilian States, obtained through the application of a structured survey questionnaire to State Secretaries of Administration, Planning, Treasury, IRS, Education Health and Safety. Variables related to strategic management resources were obtained from the questionnaire and from government agencies. Through correspondence and homogeneity analyses, it was verified that the best budget, economic-financial and social development indicators are associated with those states that display good assessment of organizational management culture, citizen-oriented view, human capital and information systems management.
