The purpose of this research is the readiness of the science education study program to implement the MBKM curriculum, which is explained through the characteristics of cooperation, lecturer competence, student perception and participation, and analysis of stakeholder needs. The research method uses case study qualitative analysis, and the subjects are teachers, students, and stakeholders in the science education study program. One of the results obtained is the characteristics of the cooperation carried out by the achievement of the graduates. The competencies possessed by lecturers as facilitators in the implementation of MBKM. There is a biased understanding of students' perceptions and involvement in the implementation of MBKM. The stakeholders involved in the preparation of this curriculum have conformity with the needs of the curriculum structure. Furthermore, these results can be used as the basis for the readiness of the Science Study Program in implementing MBKM.
The crab shell waste contains many chitins. When it processed in several chemical processes, it can produce chitosan, which has many benefits and economic value. Chitosan is a linear polysaccharide that consists of N-acetyl glucosamine and D-glucosamine monomers. This study aims to determine the optimum condition of temperature and time of the deacetylation process from the chitin crab shell (Portunus pelagicus) to be chitosan. There are three stages of making chitosan; deproteination, demineralization, and deacetylation. In the deproteination process, crab shell powder was added with a 3.5% NaOH at 65 oC while being stirred for 2 hours. In the demineralization process, crab shell powder was added by 1 N HCl solution for 30 minutes at room temperature. The deacetylation process was done by heating the chitin with NaOH 50% solution with a ratio of 1:10 (w/v) at 90o C for 2 hours. In every step of making chitosan when the stirring has been completed, then it's neutralized using aqua dest and dried in the oven for 24 hours. Chitosan that produced has the highest degree of deacetylation is 79.68%.
Redox reaction matter which seems to be abstract makes students of X science grade difficult to understand the concept. Therefore, student-centered learning using teaching matter which has analyzed students’ character or as known as scientific-based approach LKPD is necessary. This research aimed to identify the students’ cognitive results after learning redox reaction matter using a scientific-based approach LKPD. The research was done at SMAN 1 Dukupuntang, Cirebon in the 2016-2017 school year using pre-experimental method with one-shot case study research design. The sample was students of X science 2 grade. The data collection was done via a questionnaire. The analysis technique was quantifying the result percentage before and after using LKPD. This research served LKPD data which involved learning activities such as (a) observing, (b) asking, (c) collecting the data, (d) associating, and (e) communicating whichstimulatedstudents to learn redox reaction matter actively. The pretest result showed that the students’ completeness percentage was 66,67% while the protest result using LKPD showed that the percentage increased to be 86,67%. The conclusion was using a scientific-based approach LKPD on redox reaction matter was successful to enhance students’ cognitive learning outcomes and fulfill the minimum completeness criteria (KKM)
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
