A lack of communication, support, and information from parents on sexual issues are involved an inability to prevent or intervene in the sexual activity of adolescents. This study aimed to determine the effect of adolescent reproductive health education on premarital sexual behavior in Palembang, Indonesia. This study was an experimental design with pre and post-intervention. The 192 students were obtained based on the criteria of samples required. The result of bivariate analysis between the Chi-Square confounding variable and premarital sexual behavior after the intervention shows that there is a significant relationship between knowledge about sex, reproductive health, and attitudes with premarital sexual behavior. There is a significant relationship between control behavior and sexual behavior after performing the intervention (p= 0.00). The result of multivariate shows that there is a dominant variable that is the variable of knowledge about reproductive health (p= 0.00). This study suggested that information about adolescent reproductive health should be included in the curriculum, especially in Biology class.
Many factors are related to the growth and development of children. The parent factors are important, such as knowledge and parenting pattern. The purpose of the study is to analyze the correlation between knowledge and parenting patterns with toddler’s growth and development in Pre-school class in urban area of Srijaya of Palembang city within year 2017. This sstudy is an observational research with a Cross-sectional study design; it was conducted in September to October 2017. This study was conducted in Pre-school class in urban area of Srijaya of Palembang city. The population was all toddlers who attended Pre-school Class in Srijaya Palembang in year 2017. Research Samples are all toddler who follow the Pre-school class in Srijaya Palembang in year 2017 that meet the criteria of inclusion and exclusion. This research using primary data. The instrument use questionaire for knowledge and collection of biodata. For parenting variables we use Parenting Style Questioner (PSQ). In growth variable we do the measurement of body weight and height, while variable of development done by using KPSP. The result is there is correlation between mother’s knowledge with child growth (p=0.047) and child development (p=0.001). There is relationship between parenting pattern with child growth (p=0.047) and child development (p=0.001). Conclusion: there is correlation between mother's knowledge with child growth and development and there is correlation between parenting pattern with growth and development of child.
Exclusive breastfeeding is breast milk that is given to babies from birth for 6 months, without adding and or replacing with other food or drinks. WHO reports globally that the average rate of exclusive breastfeeding in the world in 2017 is only 38%. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between mother's perception, husband's support, and support from health workers on exclusive breastfeeding in the Cahya Maju Lememburu PublicHealth Center Work Area OKI. Data from the Cahya Maju Lemrubuk Public Health Center OKI in 2018, from 157 mothers who had babies 0-6 months, 85.35% (134 mothers) gave exclusive breastfeeding and 14.65% (23 people). In 2019, out of 235 mothers, only 49.79% (117 mothers) gave exclusive breastfeeding and 50.21% (118 mothers). In the initial study at the Cahya Maju Public Health Center, Lemrubuk OKI, data was obtained from 240 mothers who had babies 0-6 months, only 17.5% (42 mothers) exclusively breastfed and 82.5% (198 mothers). The population in this study were 240 mothers who had babies aged 6 months. The sampling technique used simple random sampling with 71 mothers. Analysis using chi-square test. The results show that there is a relationship between mother's perception and P-value = 0.003, husband's support P-value = 0.004, health worker support P-value = 0.000. It can be concluded that there is a relationship between mother's perception, husband's support and support from health workers with exclusive breastfeeding for breastfeeding mothers in the Cahya Maju Lemembur Public Health Center Work Area OKI 2021. The results of this study are expected to be input for providing input to improve health worker services to the community, especially in providing information about exclusive breastfeeding.
The number of couples of childbearing age in Indonesia is 36,993,725 (61.29%) of the total household heads. Nationally, there are 23,361,189 family planning participants (63.14%) of the number of couples of childbearing age in Indonesia. In South Sumatra, the use of Long-Term Contraceptive Methods (MKJP) including Intra Uterine Device (IUD), Female Operation Method (MOW), Male Operation Method (MOP), and implants is still at 15.76%, which means that it has not met the national target of 17.80%. The government makes policies and strategies for the Population Family Planning and Development Program. Family to increase the use of Long-Term Contraception Methods. However, the use of contraception in the working area of the Sekip Health Center is still 21.33% compared to the use of non-MKJP contraception. Objective: To determine the factors that influence the selection of contraceptive types in women of childbearing age at Sekip Health Center Palembang City. Methods: This research is a quantitative research research with an kuantitatif deskriptif research method with a cross sectional study design. ABSTRAK Program Perencanaan Persalinan dan Pencegahan Komplikasi (P4K) merupakan salah-satu upaya pemerintah untuk menurunkan angka kesakitan dan Angka Kematian Ibu (AKI) di Indonesia. Para kader memainkan peran kunci dalam mendukung ibu hamil dengan harapan dapat menurunkan angka kematian ibu.Kader belum memiliki pengetahuan yang baik. Meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kader tentang P4K Pelatihan dan Pendampingan kader yang dilakukan pada 29 orang peserta di Puskesmas Pembina Palembang. Kader di beri pretest kemudian diberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan selanjutnya dinilai lagi pengetahuannya dengan post test. Pengetahuan kader meningkat setelah diberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan. Sebelumnya terdapat 4 orang (13,79%) yang berpengetahuan baik meningkat menjadi 23 orang (79,3%). Pelaksanaan pelatihan dan pendampingan efektif untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan kader tentang P4K. Cadres play a key role in supporting pregnant women with the hope of reducing maternal mortality. Cadres do not yet have good knowledge to increase cadres' knowledge and skills about P4K Training and mentoring of cadres conducted on 29 participants at Pembina Palembang Health Center. Cadres were given a pretest and then given training and assistance, then their knowledge was assessed again with a post test. Knowledge of cadres increased after being given training and mentoring. Previously there were 4 people (13.79%) who had good knowledge, increasing to 23 people (79.3%). Implementation of training and mentoring is effective to increase cadre knowledge about P4K.
