Hac ibadeti, hac edebiyatının oluşmasına kaynaklık etmiş ve bu konuda birçok edebî eser/tür kaleme alınmıştır. Hac ibadetini konu alan türlerden biri de menâzil-i hac muhtevalı eserlerdir. Bu tür eserlerde hac yolları, hac kervanlarının konakladığı menziller, ziyaret edilecek dinî ve tarihî mekânlar, menzillerin coğrafî ve ticarî özellikleri ile şehir halkı hakkında bilgiler verilmiştir. Türk edebiyatında birçok manzum, mensur ve manzum-mensur menâzil-i hac kaleme alınmıştır. Bu mahiyette yazılanlardan biri de Menâzilü’t-Tarîk ilâ Beytillâhi’l-Atîk isimli eserdir. Eserin müellifinin adının Abdülkadir Çelebi, mahlasının Kadrî olduğu ve XVII. yüzyılda yaşadığı anlaşılmıştır. Eserin üç nüshası tespit edilmiştir: Süleymaniye Yazma Eser Kütüphanesi Ayasofya 01469, Millet Yazma Eser Kütüphanesi 34 Ae Tarih 892 ve Türk Tarih Kurumu Kütüphanesi Y/0377. Çalışmada Millet Süleymaniye Yazma Eser Kütüphanesi nüshası esas alınmıştır. Mensur olarak yazılan eserde yer yer nazım parçaları serpiştirilmiştir. Eser içerisindeki manzum kısımlar toplam 32 beyitten ibarettir. Manzum kısımlarda yer alan şiirlerin sadece üçünde mahlasını zikretmiştir. Bâb ve fasıllar hâlinde tertip edilen eserde hac yolculuğu güzergâhındaki 97 menzil yer almaktadır. Menziller suyunun olup olmaması, havası, coğrafî ve ticarî yönüyle ele alınmış, menzillerdeki dinî, tarihî mekânlar ve şahıslar zikredilmiş, menziller arası mesafeler saat cinsinden belirtilmiştir. Eser, hacı adaylarına faydalı bilgiler vermek amacıyla yazılmıştır. Bu sebeple eserde sade ve anlaşılır bir üslup hâkimdir. Anlatımda menzil isimleri ile ilgili hikâyeler anlatılmış, âyet ve hadislerden iktibas yapılmıştır. Ayrıca menziller hakkında bilgiler verilirken kalıplaşmış ifadeler ve cümle yapısı tercih edilmiştir. Bu çalışmada hac içerikli eserler ve özellikle menâzil-i hac sahasına dair literatür bilgisi verildikten sonra eserin müellifi, muhtevası, dil ve anlatım özellikleri, eserdeki hikâyeler üzerinde durulmuş ve eserden örnek metinler sunulmuştur.
