Clinical case reports suggest that viscosity, the behavioural tendency to talk repetitively and circumstantially about a restricted range of topics, is common in patients with temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE). Such patients are also reported to exhibit heightened levels of social cohesion, the tendency to become interpersonally "clingy". This "sticky" interpersonal style may be particularly common in TLE patients with a left sided temporal lobe seizure focus. To test this hypothesis, self-report and observer rating scales were developed to assess both viscosity and social cohesion.
Diversity in Indonesia is part of the nation and should be embraced by its people. Managing diversity requires high tolerance. School is the best place to prepare the next generation for internalizing the values of tolerance and for respecting peace in the future. However, these values need all components of the society to properly achieve. When a school has pluralist conditions, it is important to pay attention to the students’ trust in order to successfully internalize tolerance values. Therefore, heterogenity will not produce the anti-tolerant generation. The study took place in SMA Negeri (public senior high school) 1 Lhokseumawe. The school was quite diverse and heterogenous where there were Muslim and non-Muslim students. The purposes of the study were to find out the tolerance values within Islamic education learning, to understand the internalization process, and to map the supporting and hindering factors of the internalization process of the tolerance values in SMAN 1 Lhokseumawe. This was a qualitative approach. Data were collected by interview, observation, and documentation of the school. This study resulted in some findings. Firstly, the values of tolerance received by the students included appreciation, brotherhood, freedom, cooperation, helping one another, non discrimination, and sharing. Secondly, the internalization process of the values was done in three ways: integration, the school customs, and extracurricular activities. Thirdly, the factors supporting the internalization were qualified and competent teacher, active student extracurricular activities, fair access of facilities, cooperation among teachers, support from school principal, heterogeneous awareness, active alumni, increased interest and state policy. Meanwhile, the factors hindering the internalization involved the unavailability of tolerance-based module, the unavailability of tolerance-based coaching, increased racism, religion, and other sensitive issues, and massive intolerant news from the media. It is recommended that learning module and teacher training should be tolerance specified in order to enforce the process of internalizing the tolerance values in school and reduce the intolerant issues widely spread in the mass media.
This research aims to find out the level of mathematical literacy ability of students reviewed from the mastery of prerequisite materials, namely number material and changes and data. This research is a kualitati declututif study conducted in the final semester of 2021/2022, which is carried out offline in students of class VIII of State Junior High School 5 Makassar. Data collection techniques are carried out by test and interview methods. Data is analyzed using data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion withdrawal. Research instruments used in the form of tests of mathematical literacy skills. The results of the research from this study, the subjects of high material mastery as a whole answer the test problem correctly only difficulty using his reasoning in solving problems in problems, but many do the right application in answering literacy questions, but still somewhat lack in explaining mathematical concepts used in answering problems even though they have been written, Moreover, with the mastery of low material that really can not explain what mathematical concepts it uses in answering literacy questions. As for the recommendations of researchers, for future studies that want to conduct similar research should examine more broadly and develop the ability of mathematical literacy.
The purpose of this research was to understand and describe the roles of traditional games in facilitating children's development. In this modern era, many parents and teachers as early childhood educators are not aware of the importance of traditional gamesto optimize the growth and development of early childhood. In fact, traditional games are a good and affordable means for children to grow and develop. In this paper, theresearchersattempted to discuss the roles of traditional Bugis games as a medium for early childhood growth and development. This research was qualitative in nature because the researchers wanted to produce descriptive data (written or spoken) about people and observable behaviors during the play that can help the growth and development of children. To collect the data, the researchers used several instruments, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. Data multiplication was carried out based on the characteristics of the instrument. The results showed that traditional South Sulawesi Bugis games, with or without equipment, act asmedia for children's physical, social-emotional, language and cognitive development. The games becomean important means for children to socialize, learn to become a society member, andlearn to respectthe society's rules. Guidance is a process which provides help to a person at every walk of his life. It is not a new concept; it is as old as man himself. Guidance is not the solution itself but a help to overcome and solve an individual's problem. Although guidance is necessary at every stage and in any sphere of human life but its need crucially increases at secondary school level due to the sensitive age of students at this level that is extremely precious from educational point of view. Research includes an exclusive work on the need guidance at secondary school level. The result good progress, personality development, adjustment and goal achievement of students. This study is descriptive in nature consisting on data of 300 teachers and students of government school in Pakistan each. Findings have supported the need of guidance in schools.
