Information accessibility on World Wide Web (WWW) still remains to be a complex issue for blind users as majority of websites are invaded by contents, both non-visual (audio) and visual (video & images). Accessibility measures in terms of a usable and blind-friendly website should be made available to blind users. A particular area that can be improved on is the e-Business segment for blinds. Easily-accessible, e-Business platforms could further promote entrepreneurship practices through the development of blind-friendly features such as voice. In current study, we investigated the existing difficulties (such as inconsistent webpage structure, incompetent voice recognition engines and use of long sentences as commands, etc) to access the web-content and suggested a different (numeric hotlist) approach, in order to make the web more accessible, exclusively for blinds.
Authentication, authorization, billing and monitoring are all common service delivery functions that are generally required to be added on to core business services in order for them to be delivered online commercially. Extending core services with these service delivery functions requires considerable effort if implemented ground-up and can be subject to limitations if outsourced to a service broker or a conventional middleware platform. Because of the ubiquitous nature of these service delivery functions, we see them as reusable patterns for service delivery. In this paper we have introduce an approach to implementing and applying these patterns in business to consumer e-commerce. We name the approach Service Packaging. Through the approach, generic implementations (or service packages) of the various service delivery patterns can be incrementally applied to core services, thus enabling flexible and systematic service delivery. A core service, regardless of its business domain does not require any structural or behavioral modifications in order to conform to a specific service delivery requirement and hence can be used out of the box. We also present a prototype middleware platform for the design-time modeling and implementation of service packages as well as their runtime execution.
Microcontent is the prime resource and valuable asset of Web 2.0, rapid development of Mobile Commerce (MC) has enhanced the operational functionalities requirement among Mobile terminals, Servers, Knowledge Bases and other participants in many Web 2.0 applications; consequently making Microcontent Management incompetent in the world of distributed environment. This issue gets further complicated by the influence of dynamic context, a distinct character of MC. Multi-agent mode has potential to increase the efficiency and supports the context-aware content service in both collaborative and dynamic Ubiquitous network environments. So lifecycle is proposed to identify the primary subjects of Microcontent Cooperative Management(McCM), and then a Multi-agent supporting Contextual McCM Mode is constructed to support the lifecycle; the conclusion and further research is mentioned in the end of paper.
