Bina Darma University is one of higher education under the auspices of the Region II Higher Education Service Institute committed to producing graduates who have competence. One tangible form that can see from the activities carried out through the Faculty of Computer Science is the capacity-building and capabilities of prospective graduates through the certification program. Available certifications are competency certifications from world-renowned vendors that have licenses to issue certifications. But the problem that occurs is the failure caused by the unfamiliarity of participants in seeing the types of issues to be faced. Even though if it is seen to take a vendor certification exam, it will cost a lot of money and time is not small. For that reason, in this research, an alternative solution was made, namely by making a test engine try out certification. In the process of developing a test engine, the Scrum method is used, which focuses on speed in development. the results of the event show that the test engine produced can function properly and can be used as a try out the tool before conducting a certification exam.Universitas Bina Darma merupakan salah satu penyelenggara pendidikan tinggi di bawah naungan Lembaga Layanan Pendidikan Tinggi Wilayah II berkomitmen untuk menghasilkan lulusan yang memiliki kompetensi. Salah satu wujud nyata yaitu dapat dilihat dari kegiatan yang dilakukan melalui Fakultas Ilmu Komputer yaitu kegiatan peningkatan kapasitas dan kapabilitas calon lulusan melalui program sertifikasi. Sertifikasi yang tersedia merupakan sertifikasi kompetensi dari vendor ternama dunia yang memiliki lisensi untuk mengeluarkan sertifikasi. Namun permasalah yang terjadi yaitu kegagalan yang disebabkan kurang terbiasanya peserta dalam melihat jenis soal-soal yang akan dihadapi.  Padahal jika dilihat untuk mengikuti ujian sertifikasi vendor membutuhkan biaya yang mahal serta waktu yang tidak sedikit. Untuk itu didalam peneltian ini dilakukan upaya alternative solusi yaitu dengan dibuat test engine try out sertifikasi. Dalam proses pengembangan test engine digunakan metode Scrum yang berfokus pada kecepatan dalam pengembangan. hasil pengembangan menunjukkan bahwa test engine yang dihasilkan dapat berfungsi dengan baik serta dapat dijadikan sebagai alat try out sebelum dilakukannya ujian sertifikasi.

Electrochemistry is difficult to learn due to its abstract concepts involving macroscopic, microscopic, and symbolic representation levels. Studies have shown that students can visualize and improve their understanding of chemistry by using interactive computer animation and simulation. This study reports the effect of interactive computer animation and simulation module named “Interactive Electrolysis of Aqueous Solution” (IEAS) developed to aid students in learning electrolysis. A pre and post-test control quasi-experimental design was carried out to investigate the effects of the IEAS on students’ achievement and motivation in electrochemistry topics. This study involved 62 16-years-old male students from two different secondary schools. Pre and post electrochemistry achievement tests (EAT) and pre and post- Instructional Material Motivation Surveys (IMMS) were used. For EAT, using one-way ANOVA, it shows that there was a significant difference in the post-test mean score in this study on the understanding of the electrolysis concept between students in the treatment and control groups [F (1, 60) = 5.15, p <0.05]. The qualitative results also provided evidence that the students in the treatment group had a better conceptual understanding than the control group, especially at the microscopic representation level. For the IMMS test, there was a significant difference between the treatment and control groups in terms of the mean score of the post motivation IMMS test where p <0.05 in chemistry learning [F (1,59) = 266.89, p <0.05].  Thus, it can be concluded that IEAS has an impact on enhancing the students’ understanding of the electrolysis concept, and the students are more motivated to learn electrochemistry.

Penilaian kapabilitas atau kemampuan seseorang dalam pemanfaatan teknologi informasi merupakan konsep dasar dari Computer Self Efficacy (CSE). CSE juga merupakan bagian dari prediktor yang penting bagi mahasiswa untuk mempelajari dan menggunakan sistem komputer. CSE mempunyai tiga dimensi yaitu Computer Based Skills, Media Reated Skills, dan Web Based Skills. Dengan demikian dapat dikatakan CSE dapat mempengaruhi prestasi akademik mahasiswa yang mempelajari sistem komputer (mahasasiswa ilmu komputer). Dengan pedekatan Structural Equation Modeling, penelitian ini menunjukkan, yang memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap prestasi akademik mahasiswa adalah Computer Based Skills dan Web Based Skills, akan tetapi Media Reated Skills tidak mempengaruhi prestasi akademik mahasiswa.

Universitas Bina Darma Palembang merupakan salah satu Perguruan Tinggi Swasta yang memiliki banyak fakultas dan program studi. Untuk mengelola data akademik seperti penjadwalan, matakuliah, krs dan khs Universitas Bina Darma suda menggunakan Sistem Informasi Akademik yang sudah terintegrasi. Untuk mendukung proses belajar mengajar Universitas Bina Darma juga telah menggunakan Learning Management System (LMS) berbasis Moodle. Selama ini proses pengiriman data user, kelas, dan peserta kelas dilakukan dengan membuat program transfer data yang akan mentransfer data dari SIA ke Moodle. Permasalahan yang timbul adalah pertama jika ada perubahan data user seperti password dan lain sebagainya pada pertengahan semester  maka tidak bisa secara otomatis mensikron dari SIA ke Moodle, sama halnya dengan perubahan data pengajar atau peserta kelas pada pertengahan semester harus dilakukan secara manual pada moodle, kedua riwayat peserta kelas dan pengajarnyapun terhapus setiap semester, karena program tersebut mengosongkan data kelas dan pesertanya setiap semester, hal ini menyebabkan dosen harus membackup dan mengupload ulang materi dan tugas nya setiap semester. Mengatasi hal tersebut dengan metode action research  penulis membuat penelitian “External Database Sebagai Media Integrasi Sistem Informasi Akademik dengan Elaerning” sebagai solusinya. Penggunaan fitur External Database mengintegrasikan SIA dengan Moodle secara realtime, dan juga bisa mempertahankan riwayat mengajar dosen dan peserta kelas
