The aim of the research is to give a description on the prevention and handling of malaria. The research used qualitative method with a phenomenology approach. The informants consisted of 11 native people of Mamuju and Trasnmigrants selected by using snow ball technique.The results of the research reveal that in general community diagnoses malaria based on trias of malaria which tends be treated by themselves. To prevent the bites of mosquitoes at night, the community use mosquitoes nets bought in the markets with their own money. Prevention activities on the occurrence of mosquitoes breeding done by hoarding/drainage for flooded area are generally good but in transmigration area and original area Mamuju they do not run well.

Background: Provision of breast milk (ASI) is important because it lowers the risk of morbidity and mortality in infants. Breast milk is the ideal food for a baby's growth and development from birth to age 6 months. Thus, the appropriate interventions to improve the behavior of exclusive breastfeeding is really needed.Aim: To determine the effect of education lactation on behavior breastfeeding for infants 0-6 months.Methods: This was Quasy Experiment study with pre-test and post-test design with control group. Samples mother (gestational age ≥28-32 weeks) were divided into 3 groups: 1) those who received education lactation and a modification module (n = 21), 2) a group that only received a modification module (n = 21) and 3) a group that only received the MCH book (n = 20). Data were collected using a questionnaire, the implementation of the pre-test before starting lactation education, the first post-test after the intervention with a lag time of 2 months and the second post-test after the intervention with a lag time of 3 months.Results: There had been an increase of knowledge and attitude scores in each group and the highest in the group 1. At the age of 0-3 months, there was a difference in breastfeeding in all groups. In the sixth month, there was a change in group 2, while group 3 had no change, but some mothers given partially breastfed and formula. The tendency of increasing age of the baby causes mothers to give formula milk, but in group 1, majority of women still gave exclusive breastfeeding until the baby 6 months old. It was shown that there was an influence of  lactation education on behavior of breastfeeding infants 0-6 months.Conclusion: Education lactation can improve  knowledge, attitudes and behavior of mother to give breastfeeding up to 6 months.

Tuberkulosis merupakan penyakit kedaruratan global yang dicanangkan oleh WHO. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menganalisis bentuk kemitraan pemerintah dengan NGO dalam pengendalian tuberkulosis paru di Kota Makassar. Jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan desain fenomenologi. Penentuan informan dengan criterian base selection sebanyak 17 Informan. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi dan telaah dokumen. Analisis data menelaah seluruh data, reduksi, kemudian pemahaman, melakukan pemeriksaan keabsahan data, dan interpretasi. Hasil penelitian bahwa prinsip equity yaitu penemuan kasus dan peningkatan kesembuhan pasien TB, transparancy yaitu jumlah reward untuk kader dan keterbukaan melaporkan jumlah temuan kasus dan mutual be- nefit (keuntungan) untuk sektor pemerintah adalah meningkatnya deteksi kasus penemuan suspek  SSR Muslimat NU, dan keuntungan NGO adanya keterlibatan organiasi masyarakat akan lebih dikenal  masyarakat. Kemitraan sinergitas bentuk koordinasi, yakni adanya rapat koordinasi setiap triwulan. Bentuk keseluruhan yaitu setiap tiga bulan juga diadakan monitoring dan evaluasi. Bentuk keberlanjutan yaitu pemerintah tetap memberikan dukungan untuk penatalaksanaan pengobatan dan Muslimat NU tetap melanjutkan program pengendalian TB dengan fokus pada pencarian mitra atau donor serta pembentukan kelompok masyarakat peduli TB. Untuk mengurangi risiko kejadian TB di masyarakat dilakukan penyuluhan disertakan testimoni dari pasien yang sudah sembuh. Disimpulkan bahwa koordinasi, keseluruhan, keberlanjutan membantu dalam upaya penemuan kasus TB serta mengurangi penularannya di masyarakat.

The objective of this study was to show the distribution of cows by days in milk (DIM) at first artificial insemination (AI) and the interval from calving to conception. The study was conducted in 47 commercial dairy herds in Enrekang Regency from May to October 2011. Of 289 animals, 143 of them or 49.5% were dairy Holstein Friesian cows with parities one to seven; mean (±SD) 2.05±1.50. The cows were classified into six groups based on DIM at first AI; within 40 d postpartum, between 41 and 85 d, 86 and 115 d, 116 and 150 d, 151 and 210 d, and 211 days or more. The cows were classified into five groups based on the interval from calving to conception; within 85 d postpartum, 86 and 115 d, 116 and 150 d, 151 and 210 d, and 211 days or more. The results of this study showed that the interval from calving to first AI was 131.6±121.8 d. The percentage of cows inseminated within 85 d after calving was only 56.1%; significantly lower (P<0.01) than the percentage in the list of fertility management assessment standard. Likewise, cows conceived within 150 d after calving was only 32%. In conclusion, a longer average days in milk (DIM) at first AI in dairy cows was found in the present study, subsequently reduced the possibility of the cows to become pregnant in an optimum time, and reduced the reproductive performance of the herds.
