In this article-based on previous studies, applying a questionnaire with 81 parameters, and asking experts who mainly were labor inspectors and official judiciary experts on building construction accidents-5 crucial factors and 13 extrinsic factors effecting on building construction's safety has been identified, and then for determining the amount of effectiveness of each factors on safety with analyzing the data with AHP method 1 , and based on 3 main experts' comments. Findings: the primary criterion-the height working (H) with weight 0.438-is the primary factor in building construction accidents. The sub-criterion-falling from scaffolding (H4) with relative weight 0.433 and combined weight 0.190 takes the first rank, and lack of edges protection [unprotected edge] (H2) with relative weight 0.342 and combined weight 0.150 are put in second position. After the height working, the criterion of excavation (G) with weight 0.262 is the second factor in occurrence of accidents. The sub-criterion of digging without protection (G1) with relative weight 0.571 and combined weight 0.149 takes the third place and sub-criterion inadequate training (C1) with relative and combined weight 0.137 has the fourth position. Conclusion: according to the findings, we can clearly state that the practical approach to increase safety and avoid accidents in building construction site becomes readily obtainable by using safety equipment in height working, using protection in the edges to prevent falling, and considering more safety measures in excavation time like testing the soil resistance and the strength of neighbor buildings, and finally safety training.
This study has been done in Tehran with the purpose of presenting strategy for promoting security and safety in highrise buildings against fire. From the point of view on categorizing researches based on purpose, this one is an applied research, and from viewpoint on collecting data is descriptive-survey one; also in the all types of descriptive research methods, it is a case study. Our statistical population was comprised of 26 senior managers in Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) that expert questionnaire released between them. Based on studies, the main criteria of this research are building structural engineering, fire alarm systems and firefighting, safety design in building, and the occupants' behavioral skills, that and each of them included some sub-criteria. Analyzing the data was accomplished by applying the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) approach. Generally, it is proved that the criterion "occupants' behavioral skills" with normalized weight 0/553 has the most priority, and the other hand the sub-criteria of "pumps and fire station installations with normalized weight 0/553 is the most important priority in sub-criteria.
This study aims to address intersections of high-density fire zones with the most traveled roads in Karaj city during peak traffic hours. These zones and roads have been identified through collection of field data and desk research. Then resulting map of two areas, i.e. the most travelled roads and high-density fire zones were superposed and the intersection was obtained that represents the high-risk region. As result, in order to mitigate and prevent future financial losses and mortalities in this region, the recommendations are made with regard to traffic method, and requirements of rule of law to prevent fire incidents and their expansion in available places on the region. The neural network model was used to predict degree of losses. The results suggest that this network predicts the event with accuracy of 0/9938.
