Durante los últimos años, el consumo de bebidas energizantes se ha vuelto una novedad, esto gracias a las numerosas campañas publicitarias, las cuales las han exhibido como un producto que no tiene efectos secundarios al organismo. En EEUU, los resultados arrojan que el 31% de los adolescentes de 12 a 17 años de edad y el 34% de los adultos jóvenes consumen bebidas energizantes de manera regular. Teniendo en cuenta estos resultados, se nota falta de información por parte de los consumidores de dichas bebidas energizantes y de los efectos que pueden llegar a causar en el organismo. La investigación determina los efectos que producen las bebidas energizantes en el organismo y diseña un plan de acción sobre el consumo de estas bebidas.
El lenguaje es parte fundamental del ser humano, y lo emplea desde el nacimiento para comunicar y expresar sus necesidades, sentimientos e ideas. Una de sus principales alteraciones es el retraso en el desarrollo del lenguaje que limita la capacidad de comunicación de los niños dado que no pueden expresarse correctamente o no comprenden lo que se les habla. La Escala de Lenguaje Preescolar, quinta edición (PLS.5), es una evaluación que tuvo como propósito la identificación de retrasos del habla y del lenguaje en niños de 0 a 7 años y 11 meses de edad. La investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar el nivel del desarrollo del lenguaje proporcionando un registro panorámico de sus principales dimensiones mediante la aplicación del PLS.5. Es un estudio descriptivo y transversal. Como técnica de recolección de datos se aplicó el test PLS.5 que evalúa el lenguaje comprensivo y expresivo. Los investigados fueron 56 infantes, 31 niños y 25 niñas, en edades comprendidas entre 12-47 meses de edad. Los resultados revelan que la prevalencia del retraso del lenguaje a nivel comprensivo es de 50,00% y el expresivo de 69,64%. Evidenciando que la habilidad del lenguaje más afectada es a nivel expresivo; siendo necesaria la intervención logopédica.
