Symptoms of body-perception distortion were endorsed by most CLBP patients, while these symptoms are very infrequent amongst healthy controls. Our results suggest the questionnaire has reasonable psychometric properties.
The findings can inform efforts to improve breast cancer screening among women with severe mental illness, such as targeted outreach to population subsets and colocation of primary care services in mental health treatment settings.
Most women in the sample were not regularly screened for cervical cancer. Cervical cancer screening for this high-risk population should be prioritized.
