This introductory volume brings students and practitioners up to date on the concepts and methods of quality management, quality development and impact control. It explains their logic and not only gives suggestions on the introduction of concepts into an organisation, but also on the consolidation of existing quality management policies. In addition, its various contributions critically examine both the requirements of social policy and administration that led to the introduction of the aforementioned concepts, and the state of their development. It thus also serves to rethink what has already been practised in this field. It poses questions to check learning progress and provides answers to them.
