A prática das monitorias durante o período de graduação se mostra imprescindível para a formação plena das habilidades de todo o estudante do ensino superior. Por meio dessa vivência, os alunos-monitores têm um contato mais direto com a prática da docência em detrimento às disciplinas a que a monitoria propõe, criam vínculo com alunos de outros semestres, consolidam conhecimentos adquiridos e obtêm novos aprendizados. Nesse contexto, objetiva-se relatar a experiência vivenciada no processo de monitoria no curso de Medicina. Foi realizado relato de experiência a partir da percepção dos monitores da disciplina de Urgência, Emergência e Técnicas de Enfermagem II da Universidade Franciscana para demostrar de modo teóricoprática a relevância das monitorias nesse curso de graduação. Logo, percebeu-se que a experiência exigiu comprometimento e responsabilidade, bem como possibilitou a satisfação pelas contribuições significativas no processo de formação acadêmica dos monitorados.
