RESUMO-Polímeros condutores são materiais que possuem propriedades elétricas, magnéticas e ópticas semelhantes aos metais semicondutores inorgânicos. Dentre esses materiais, a polianilina (PAni) se destaca devido às suas excelentes propriedades, como estabilidade química, facilidade de polimerização, dopagem e baixo custo do monômero. A dopagem da PAni ocorre sem que aconteça alteração do número de elétrons associados à cadeia polimérica. Neste trabalho, a polianilina como sal de esmeraldina foi caracterizada através de testes de varredura de absorção óptica, rendimento, pH a fim de saber as potencialidades que íon metálico (Mn) poderia fornecer ao polímero. Com isso optou-se por fazer um filme anticorrosivo à base de acetato de Polivinila-PVAc usando a polianilina dopada e não dopada, com objetivo de comparar seus potenciais para a ação. Com isso pudemos comprovar sua eficiência como anticorrosivo mesmo quando conjugado a um íon metálico.
