DVT is a type of blood clot that occurs in the deep veins of the leg or pelvis. An embolus occurs when a thrombus, or blood clot, breaks off. Emboli can go to the lungs and cause a PE. DVT is the most found reason for maternal death in developing country, according to a 2017 analysis. In children, DVT is relatively uncommon. According to a 2016 report, DVT affects 0.30 out of every 100,000 children under the age of nine and 0.64 out of every 100,000 children between the ages of ten and nineteen. Throughout high-income nations, roughly 1.5 out of 1000 adults will get VTE for the first time each year, 5–11 percent of persons will have VTE their lifetime. As people get older, VTE becomes significantly more common. DVT has several risk factors, some of which are listed here. An injury to your veins, such as a bone fracture, Being overweight puts extra pressure on your legs and pelvis veins. Having a DVT family history, A catheter is put into a vein, Female who is taking hormonal treatment or pills of birth control. A common sign is edema in your foot, ankle, or leg, mostly one side. Cramping pain in the affected leg that usually starts in the calf Area of skin that is noticeably warmer than the rest of the body. Diagnosis of DVT includes Ultrasound, Venogram, d-dimer test. Medical Management of DVT pharmacological therapy i.e. unfractional heparin, low molecular heparin, anticoagulant, thrombolytic therapy used. Conclusion : Awareness and understanding its signs and symptoms are more effective and less expensive than the secondary prevention. Encouragement and education for the self-reporting and self-assessment help to the early detection and prevention of DVT.
Objective: Aim of the study to assess the risk of constipation among patients undergoing abdominal surgery. Constipation is a gastrointestinal tract condition which can lead to abnormal stools, uncomfortable storage and passing with pain and stiffness. Constipation is one of the gastrointestinal system's functional impairments. Various symptoms also include bloating, pushing, abdominal and rectal pain, a feeling of fullness in the rectum or extreme defecation, a lack of full discharge, and stool infrequency (usually less than three times a week). Constipation problem is a condition that is prevalent in abdominal surgery patients in the preoperative and postoperative period due to physiological and psychological factors. While constipation does not endanger life. Bowel frequency is affected by many variables, including dietary factors, emotional state, immobility, prior history of bowel elimination problem, and psychological morbidity after abdominal surgery. Constipation is a common issue that many individuals face. Materials and Methods: The cross sectional research study conducted in AVBR hospital Sawangi Meghe, Wardha district with quantitative research approach. Sample size was 85. Sample was undergoing abdominal surgery patients. Tool was structured questionnaire including Patients characteristics & constipation risk assessment scale. Results: 48.24% of patients undergoing abdominal surgery had no risk of developing constipation, 29.41% had low risk of constipation, 14.12% had moderate and 8.23% of the patients undergoing abdominal surgery had severe risk of constipation. Minimum risk of constipation was 0 and maximum was 17. Mean risk of constipation was 5.14±5.71. Conclusion: This study can help to assess the risk of constipation among undergoing abdominal surgery patients and make them aware about risk of constipation.
Background: Venous thrombo embolism (VTE) its a form of vascular disorder becomes important disease condition now a days. Basically VTE is term used for both deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE). DVT is defined as a blood clot (thrombus) in a deep vein usually in the legs, also in the calf and thigh veins. It is 3rd largest cause for mortality and morbidity. Deep vein thrombosis occur mostly there are no symptoms but in some cases lower extremity will be painful, warm redden, and also superficial veins may engorged. In such cases when there is massive embolism thrombolytic therapy agent as streptokinase or urokinase or tissue plasminogen activation used for dissolve the thrombus or resolve the obstruction. For relieving chances of venous thrombosis like range of motion, physiotherapy, graduated stocking can be categorized as important mechanical methods for the prevention of DVT. Objective: In this study 1. To Screen the deep vein thrombosis among factory workers To assess the risk factor of deep vein thrombosis among factory workers To associate the screening and risk factor of deep vein thrombosis among factory workers with their selected demographic variables Methodology: Descriptive research design will use for this research study. Sample will be factory workers. Non probability purposive sampling technique will use for the study. This research study will include 120 Factory workers from Mahalakshmi Steel factory Pvt. Ltd, Deoli, Dist.Wardha, Maharashtra. Factory workers must select according to requirements for inclusion and exclusion criteria. 1.Factory workers who were completed 5 years in steel factory & Factory workers who are willing participate in study are inclusion criteria. Exclusion Criteria: 1.Factory workers who already taking treatment for deep vein thrombosis. 2. Factory workers those were participated in similar kind of study. 3. Office workers are excluded in this study. Expected Results: Outcome includes Screening and risk factors associated with deep vein thrombosis among factory workers for the study are low probability, moderate probability, high probability with the clinical validated tool Wells criteria for screening of deep vein thrombosis. Risk factor associated with deep vein thrombosis assess with structure questionnaire. Ethical approval was obtained from (DMIMS(DU)/IEC/DEC-2019/8684). Conclusion: It will be drawn from the results.
Coronary artery bypass gratis (CABG) is the treatment of choice in patients with triple vessel disease (TVD). If the patient has TVD but is asymptomatic, the dilemma is whether to con nue with medical management or to op on for revascularization. CAD prevalence predicts that half of the healthy old males in the United States will grow CAD in the future, while 1 in 3 healthy females will develop CAD. Although the research differs, it is es mated that approximately 26-33 per cent of all CAD patients will experience triple vessel disease. This corresponds to around 1 in 8 males and 1 in 12 females who will grow TVD in their lifetime. In the US, 40.9 million men and 27.2 million women are currently affected by triple vessel disease in their lifetime. Since leti main coronary artery was involved, a person must undergo CABG to prevent sudden cardiac death.
