The purpose of this research was to examine the effects of digital transformation, digital leadership, and entrepreneurial motivation on business decision making and business process performance in the Greater Amman Municipality. The study's hypotheses were put to the test and proven through a variety of quantitative analysis and data processing techniques. The research hypotheses were evaluated using a Structural Equation Model. Participants in this research are managers from the middle and high echelons of the Greater Amman Municipality, who were responsible for making decisions in their respective divisions. One hundred and eighty middle and upper-level managers with at least eight years' experience in public service were recruited for this study from the Greater Amman Municipality. Distributed questionnaires and the deliberate sampling technique were used to compile this data. Decision making had a positive effect on the business process performance, and the results of hypothesis testing data processing using Structural Equation Model indicated that digital transformation, digital leadership, and the motivation of the business environment all had positive and significant effects on business decision making and business process performance in the Greater Amman Municipality. To conduct their research, the authors opted to focus on digital transformation, which includes four primary components: process transformation, business model change, domain transformation, and cultural transformation. The following dimensions commander, communicator, collaborator, and co-creator were all indicative of digital leadership. Entrepreneurial motivation could be seen in the word’s communication, hassle-free work environment, mastering the art of constructive criticism, and trust among others. The novel aspect of this study is the model developed to explain the interplay between digital transformation, digital leadership, and entrepreneurial motivation, and how these factors influence business decision making and business process performance at Greater Amman Municipality.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the efficiency of two different banking systems operating in Egypt (Islamic versus conventional banks). A sample of 35 banks has been used to examine the technical efficiency before and after the financial crisis using data envelopment analysis model. Evaluating the technical efficiency of Egyptian banks will enable policymakers to support which banking system is more efficient to facilitate the financial inclusion and enhance the economic development.Before the financial crisis, conventional banks outperformed conventional banks with Islamic windows and Islamic banks, scale technical efficiency outperformed pure technical efficiency when analyzing conventional banks and conventional banks with Islamic windows. In terms of Islamic banks, pure efficiency outperformed scale efficiency. After the financial crisis, technical efficiency of all banks decreased. However, pure technical efficiency of Islamic banks has improved as a result of the quality of management and outperformed both conventional banks and conventional banks with Islamic windows. These results imply that Islamic banks have not been affected by the financial crisis. Therefore, the increased adoption and support of the Islamic banks in Egypt is addressed to develop the economy and push forward entrepreneurship projects, support the financial inclusion and the informal economy integration.
The Kingdom has put foreign investment in its priorities, and investment has become a major hub not only to enhance its vision, but also be an effective tool in the economic transformation process that is mainly based on attracting more foreign investment. This paper examined econometric modeling foreign direct investment inflows in Saudi Arabia during the period 1990-2019 and forecasting using Box-Jenkins ARIMA model approach. The study shows that the net foreign direct investment inflow in Saudi Arabia is integrated of the first order. Based on the number of significant coefficients.The result of the study shows that net foreign direct investment inflows in Saudi Arabia are likely for exhibit upward trend in the next decade which is not significantly different from values of FDI inflows in Saudi Arabia in the recent years.The study also provides policies recommendations to assist policy makers and the Saudi Arabia government on better ways to accelerate and maintain higher level of net foreign direct investment inflows in Saudi Arabia.
