Using the Compass Rule or Bowditch Method and MMQ in the Adjustment Topographic Survey ABSTRACTOne of the available methodologies to the Survey Engineering to map agrarian or urban areas is to launch traverses that will give support for the surveyed perimeters and others thematic points. In these traverse angles and horizontal distances are observed, inevitably with inherent errors of systematic, coarse and random nature. There is several approaches for obtaining the topographical coordinates; however, in this work only the rule of compass or method of Bowditch and the Least Square Method will be analyzed. Both methods provide the adjustment of observations, however, the main difference between these two methods is in the use of Least Square Method and the Stochastic Model, which allows ponder the observations to make them homogeneous. The aim of this work is to compare the results
