Factors associated with the probability of common mental disorders in pregnant women: a cross-sectional study AbstrActObjective: To estimate the prevalence of probability of common mental disorders in pregnant women and associated factors. Methods:A cross-sectional study with a quantitative and descriptive approach was performed with 330 pregnant women enrolled in a Women's Health Service located in Mid-West Brazil. Data were obtained through a questionnaire about socio-demographic characteristics and family or personal history. The Self-Reporting Questionnaire and Poisson regression were applied to screen for common mental disorders, aiming to identify factors associated with it. Results: The prevalence of probability of common mental disorders among pregnant women was 57.1% and it was associated with marital status, gestational age, unplanned pregnancy and bleeding. Conclusion: The prevalence of pregnant women likely to have common mental disorders and the average Self-Reporting Questionnaire score estimated in this study were higher than those found in other studies with samples from the general population.
ResumoA histerectomia, um dos procedimentos cirúrgicos mais realizados no Brasil, é caracterizada como a remoção total ou parcial do útero e, gera diferentes sentimentos nas mulheres, que consideram esse órgão o representante de sua feminilidade e sexualidade. Este estudo qualitativo objetiva avaliar quais as repercussões que a histerectomia causa na sexualidade feminina. Para sua efetivação, foram realizadas entrevistas semiestruturadas com quatro mulheres histerectomizadas, escolhidas intencionalmente. Essas entrevistas, submetidas aos procedimentos da Análise Fenomenológica Interpretativa, levantaram as seguintes categorias de análise: reações frente ao diagnóstico; corpo e identidade; sexualidade. Os resultados obtidos permitiram concluir que o nível socioeconômico que as participantes estão inseridas interfere no modo como vivenciam a histerectomia. As mulheres deste estudo têm sua identidade pautada no ato de ser mãe e deixam sua sexualidade em segundo plano, confirmando a ideia de que vieram ao mundo para procriação e satisfação do parceiro, excluindo o seu próprio prazer.Palavras-chave: histerectomia; útero; sexualidade. Abstract The Consequences of Hysterectomy in Female SexualityHysterectomy, one of the most performed surgical procedures in Brazil, is characterized as total or partial removal of the uterus, and generates different feelings in women, who consider this organ the representative of their femininity and sexuality. This qualitative study aims to evaluate the repercussions that hysterectomy causes on female sexuality. For its effectiveness, semi-structured interviews were conducted with four hysterectomized women, chosen intentionally. These interviews, submitted to the Interpretive Phenomenological Analysis procedures, raised the following categories of analysis: reactions to the diagnosis; body and identity; sexuality. The obtained results allowed to conclude that the socioeconomic level that the participants are inserted interferes in the way in they experience the hysterectomy. The women of this study have their identity based on being a mother and leave their sexuality in the background, confirming the idea that they came to the world for procreation and satisfaction of the partner, excluding their own pleasure.
O suicídio é influenciado por múltiplos fatores passíveis de prevenção, exigindo ações coordenadas pelo estado. Logo, o presente estudo, tem por objetivo discutir o suicídio como um problema social que necessita da intervenção do Estado, no território brasileiro. Considerando como objetivos específicos a necessidade de promover diálogos sobre a formulação da Política Nacional de Prevenção da Automutilação e do Suicídio e as possibilidades de implementação nos equipamentos públicos, delinearam-se possibilidades e mapearam-se limitações para sua execução. A pesquisa foi de abordagem qualitativa e utilizou como recurso metodológico a revisão narrativa de caráter descritivo e exploratório e está subdividida em três momentos: o primeiro trata do suicídio como produção social na realidade brasileira; o segundo trata dos caminhos para a formulação da Política Nacional de Prevenção da Automutilação e do Suicídio no Brasil; e o terceiro diz das possibilidades e limitações de implantação de tais políticas. Por fim, são expressas as considerações finais que vislumbram a necessidade de mudança no posicionamento político, para garantir incentivos públicos para as políticas sociais e a possibilidade de implementar ações de prevenção ao suicídio.
Objective: To estimate the prevalence of common mental disorders and their associated factors in the elderly in a municipality in the countryside of the Brazilian Midwest. Methods: Quantitative, observational, cross-sectional approach research, conducted with 218 elderly people. Results: The prevalence of the common mental disorder among the elderly was 25.1%; in the univariate analysis, it was higher in females (35.4%), in the age group of 80 years or older (46.1%), brown skin color (30.2%), widowed (42.6%), illiterate (47.6%), and retired (27.6%). In the multiple analysis, the variables female gender (p<0.006), age 80 years or older (p<0.036), dissatisfaction with life (p<0.009), lack of social interaction (p=0.017), and dysfunctional family (p=0.021) remained associated with CMD. Conclusion: The results revealed are helpful and contribute to the reinforcement of the need for mental health care in this population extract so growing worldwide.
Objetivou-se com esse estudo estimar a prevalência de depressão entre pessoas que vivam com HIV/Aids e verificar a correlação entre instrumentos de rastreio de depressão e de Transtorno Mental Comum. Trata-se de um estudo transversal, de natureza quantitativa realizado com uma amostra composta por 83 indivíduos que vivem com HIV/Aids em atendimento em um serviço de referência no Brasil Central entre os anos de 2017 e 2018. Os resultados do presente estudo apontaram uma prevalência de 53% de depressão e associação positiva com ansiedade, distúrbio do sono, ideação suicida e baixa renda. Os escores dos instrumentos para rastreio de depressão e de Transtorno Mental Comum se correlacionaram.
